A scorned couple have vandalized their ex-lover’s car using permanent marker to cover it with angry insults.

The white Toyota Hilux van was spotted in the central Sydney suburb of Waterloo on Saturday with the bonnet and right-hand side of the car defaced with black and blue ink.

The mystery woman wrote several statements and threats, including, “I hate you!” and “Die, you putrid dog.”

‘F**K YOU CHEATING FAT DOG’ was written across the front of the car in block letters and could be clearly seen by anyone passing the car.

The mystery woman wrote a series of insults on the right side of the car.

Under the NSW Graffiti Control Act 2008, marking property with spray paint or pen without the owner’s consent carries a fine of up to $440.

However, when the offense occurs in aggravated circumstances, where the graffiti element used cannot be easily removed or cleaned with water or detergent, the maximum penalty is raised to a $2,200 fine and/or 12 months in prison.

NSW courts cannot sentence an offender to prison terms unless they have previously been convicted of the same offence.

Cleaning experts recommend rubbing alcohol or acetone to remove permanent marker or permanent marker from a car’s exterior.

Soaking a washcloth in whole milk and leaving it on the sections overnight has also been successful in removing permanent marks.

The former couple remains unidentified.

NSW Police told Daily Mail Australia that no complaint had been filed, however they urged anyone with information to contact CrimeStoppers.

The woman used a blue and black permanent marker to deface the front end of the car, writing in big block letters “F**K YOU CHEATING FAT DOG” (pictured). The man and woman remain unidentified.
