The Witcher will end with season five as production has begun on the fourth season of the Netflix series, with Liam Hemsworth replacing Henry Cavill.
The streaming giant announced a lot of big news about the medieval series on Thursday.

In 2022, it was announced that Henry was stepping down after three years playing the monster-hunting character Geralt of Rivia, with Liam stepping in to replace him.
When Henry first announced he was leaving The Witcher, rumors swirled that his departure was prompted by a feud with creator and showrunner Lauren Hissrich.
Lauren herself gave no indication of bad blood with Henry, and told it NME during the time when they had a ‘mutually respectful relationship’.
The Witcher synopsis reads: “Geralt of Rivia, a lone monster hunter, struggles to find his place in a world where humans often prove worse than beasts.”
