In 2022, it was announced that Henry was stepping down after three years playing the monster-hunting character Geralt of Rivia, with Liam stepping in to replace him.

When Henry first announced he was leaving The Witcher, rumors swirled that his departure was prompted by a feud with creator and showrunner Lauren Hissrich.

Lauren herself gave no indication of bad blood with Henry, and told it NME during the time when they had a ‘mutually respectful relationship’.

The Witcher synopsis reads: “Geralt of Rivia, a lone monster hunter, struggles to find his place in a world where humans often prove worse than beasts.”
