Steve Price reignites feud with Kyle Sandilands as he slams radio host’s friendship with PM Anthony Albanese and says his ‘toxic’ show isn’t welcome in Melbourne

Steve Price has reignited his feud with Kyle Sandilands following the debut of The Kyle And Jackie O Show in Melbourne last week.

The Melbourne-based media personality, 69, wrote a scathing article in the Herald Sun criticized Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s relationship with the radio shock jock, 52, over the weekend.

Albanese has appeared on the Sandilands radio show several times and even attended the host’s wedding in 2023.

Price claimed the high-profile friendship has given the radio host “an influential platform to continue sharing his crude and threatening views.”

“You can’t stand up and passionately express your honest opinions about the scourge of violence against women and hang out with Kyle,” Price noted, highlighting what he sees as a contradiction in Albanese’s actions.

“Has he ever even listened to what is being broadcast on either side of his warm conversations with Kyle or is it just about, as I suspect, the youth mood.”

Price then highlighted Sandilands’ history of controversy, labeling him a “repeat offender” for his use of “coarse” and “threatening language” towards women.

He pointed out that such associations, in the midst of a national dialogue on violence against women, are sending the wrong message.

“We are in the middle of a national conversation about the reasons behind toxic male violence against women and the influences behind it… I wonder if our Prime Minister should be so willing to go on this show given the content.”

“I hope and pray that the people of Melbourne have better taste and send this toxic soft porn back to Sydney,” he finished.

It comes after Sandilands came out swinging at media personality Steve Price last week for his criticism of The Kyle And Jackie O Show’s debut in Melbourne.

The Sydney-based radio show kicked off with a bang in Melbourne last Monday, with the shock jock and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson making plenty of X-rated comments, including a profane opener about sexually transmitted infections (STDs).

Price, who is known for his conservative stance, did not hold back when he denounced the broadcast of The Project last Monday night.

“That shit you put on the air this morning, sexualized crap. Toxic, and no one should listen to it,” Price raged, adding: “And you will be a colossal failure in Melbourne.”

During Tuesday’s episode of The Kyle And Jackie O Show, Sandilands wondered if Price really meant his harsh words or if he was putting on a nasty persona for the camera.

“Does he mean what he says, or is he just full of nonsense?” Sandilands pondered.

“That’s why I won’t get into this on this old grandma’s podcasts. He gets paid to be on The Project, to give his opinion. So he amplifies it,” he added.

Price then highlighted Sandiland's history of rants and controversies, labeling him a 'repeat offender' for his use of 'coarse' and 'threatening language' towards women.
