Shawn Mendes shuts down relationship rumors with Sabrina Carpenter: ‘We are not dating’

Shawn Mendes squashed rumors that he is dating fellow musician Sabrina Carpenter during an interview on Friday.

While promoting his new partnership with Tommy Hilfiger, the Stitches singer told the Dutch TV show RTL Boulevard that they’re not dating.

But I think we should talk about Tommy Hilfiger probably more than Sabrina. Thank you,’ he added, before making it clear that he would like to change the subject.

Dating rumors have swirled around the two since February, when gossip blog DeuxMoi wrote that they were “clearly on a date” at the famed Horses restaurant in Los Angeles, where they appeared to be “very comfortable”.

They did nothing to dispel the rumors when they were spotted out and about in Los Angeles a week later running errands together.

Sabrina has been gearing up for her Emails I Can’t Send tour, which will tour North America from March through May 20 before moving on to South America, Europe and parts of Southeast Asia.

The petite blonde has also signed on to star in an upcoming Alice in Wonderland musical for Netflix.

The 24-year-old hitmaker most recently connected with chiropractor Dr. Jocelyne Miranda, 51, who is more than twice his age.

The two were seen walking together while Shawn showed off his muscular shirtless torso on February 21 in Los Angeles, but neither have commented on the nature of their relationship.

Prior to the latest dating rumors, the “In My Blood” singer was in a relationship with fellow singer-songwriter Camila Cabello.

She and the Canadian heartthrob began their relationship in July 2019 and spent much of the pandemic in quarantine together, but broke up in November 2021.

Shawn was supposed to be on tour this year as well, but he stopped the show in July. Initially, the break was supposed to be for a few weeks, but the Treat You Better singer decided he needed more time to work on his mental health.

Shawn recently collaborated with Tommy Hilfiger on the new Tommy x Shawn campaign which was shared on his Instagram account on Wednesday.

The Treat You Better singer showed off his toned chest alongside several other models, including Elon Musk’s mom Maye, while showing off various offerings from his new collection with Hilfiger.

Cougar: Shawn has recently been linked to chiropractor Dr. Jocelyne Miranda, 51. The two were seen walking together on February 21 in Los Angeles, but neither have commented on the nature of their relationship.

Tour: Sabrina has been preparing to go on her Emails I Can’t Send tour. The Fast Times singer is scheduled to begin crossing North America on March 16 before heading to South America, Europe and Southeast Asia.

Rest: Shawn has taken a break from touring to focus on his mental health. He lent his talents and his voice to the main character in the family film Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile, which was released in October 2022.

The There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back singer described the items in his collection as “clothing made from discarded fabrics, colored with memories and reborn into new icons.”

The singer-songwriter also spoke about the way the collection’s offerings were designed.

“I think the shape is really important and the shapes are not exactly like they were in the ’90s. They were inspired by the ’90s,” he said.

Mendes later expressed his gratitude to Hilfiger himself for bringing him to work with the brand.
