Police have seized a collection of supercars after a convoy heading to a wedding ‘turned out to be dangerous’.
Officers caught the motorists after reports of dangerous driving on the M4 and M5 as they headed to a wedding party.
However, the drivers’ behavior put other drivers ‘at risk’, Avon and Somerset Police said.
They added that the highway is “not the place for a rolling supercar showcase.”
The expensive convoy consisted of a Lamborghini, a convertible Audi and a 4×4 Mercedes.
In a post shared about the incident on Facebooksaid the Road Policing Unit: ‘Wedding bells, horsepower and a convoy, what could go wrong?
“Our road patrol officers have received several calls today reporting a number of high-performance supercars being driven dangerously on the M4 and M5.
‘Officers located the convoy and, despite the impressive performance of the vehicles, proved that horsepower is no substitute for common sense.

‘Several vehicles have now been seized and the drivers have been reported. Further investigations are underway to identify other offending vehicles.”
The message continued: ‘We understand the drivers were all heading to a friend’s wedding party, but let’s be clear.
‘The highway is not the place where a wedding convoy can become a moving supercar showcase, endangering other road users!
‘Enjoy the cars. Enjoy the wedding. Just don’t make the trip there on someone else’s worst day.’
