Rita Ora has been attending the Met Gala for years and this time she wore a beaded outfit “older than anyone on the planet.”

The 33-year-old singer has managed to snag a coveted invite to Anna Wintour’s annual fashion parade, held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, and has not disappointed when it comes to pushing boundaries.

The singer proved she’s a fashion chameleon of all things when her 2024 dress looked worlds away from the black Prabal Gurung dress with dramatic train she wore last year.

2024

Rita gave a very daring show in a sheer nude bodysuit designed by MARNI.

Showing off her incredibly toned physique bra-less in the revealing garment, Rita arrived at the event with her husband Taika Waititi, who was ever the gentleman as he helped her sort out her dress train on the red carpet.

For Rita’s tenth appearance at the fundraiser, she put her figure on full display as a curtain of colorful beads barely hid her modesty.

The singing sensation revealed that the beads on the dress date back to the 1st and 2nd centuries BC and come from all over the world.

She told carpet presenters Gwendoline Christie and Ashley Graham: “I think some of these beads are older than people on the planet… It’s very heavy.”

To accessorize, Rita paired her striking look with a pair of nude heels and a gold bag.

She was seen leaving the Carlyle Hotel wearing a bizarre headpiece that appeared to have been discarded before she arrived at the star-studded event.

Rita looked fantastic as she styled her brunette locks into a short, wet-look bob to match her glossy make-up.

She wanted to celebrate the existence of women with her look, as she told Entertainment Tonight, “Hey guys, I’m wearing a necklace at the Met this year.

‘This is about the beauty of the body and the existence and presence of women. [It’s about] not doing so much, but also doing a lot, you know what I mean? And these beads actually date from the second century BC.’

2023

A year ago, Rita left her husband dazed as she walked the red carpet in an incredible train in a Prabal Gurung dress.

Her barely-there gown featured floral lace appliqués and perfectly placed chiffon, while her train floated down the iconic steps seemingly miles behind her.

Rita completed the look with $90,000 worth of Buccellati jewelry, including a gold cuff, pearl bracelet and cocktail earrings — along with long diamond extensions hanging from her perfectly manicured nails.

The glamorous jewels seemed to drip from her fingers as she wowed in the elegant ensemble.

She accentuated her features with Team Charlotte Tilbury’s glamorous makeup palette and wore her caramel locks in loose curls.

She was accompanied by her husband, director Taika, who looked suave in a long metallic blazer that he wore shirtless and paired with smart white trousers.

He added extra style to the ensemble with pearls and a black floral corsage.

2021

In 2021, Rita flashed a sparkling silver DeBeers band on her engagement finger while cozying up with Taika at the Met Gala.

The singer showed off her abs in a sequined crop top and matching long skirt from Prada as she dazzled during her red carpet appearance with the producer.

She showed off her toned stomach and incredible figure in the skimpy, sequin-embellished outfit at the In America: A Lexicon of Fashion-themed event.

She completed her look with a dazzling silver choker, matching earring and hairpiece, all from DeBeers, as she confidently posed for the camera with her husband.

2019

At the 2019 Met Gala, the singer made sure she stood out on the red carpet in a daring sequin dress.

Rita went braless in the plunging number and accessorized the dazzling garment with a collection of statement diamond jewelry, including a necklace and earrings.

Rita joined her good friend, supermodel Kate Moss, who looked effortlessly chic in a plunging floor-length silver sequin dress and a matching dramatic cape.

2017

Rita looked fantastic when she attended the Met Gala in 2017 a woven silk red ribbon Marchesa dress.

The dress was tied at the shoulder with an oversized bow as she walked the famous stairs outside the Metropolitan Museum of Art in the heart of New York’s 5th Avenue for the annual style-studded bash.

The theme was Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons, with an emphasis on the avant-garde designer’s technique with silhouettes, draping and fit.

The 74-year-old Japanese fashion legend was the second living designer to be the sole subject of the Met’s fashion exhibition since Yves Saint Laurent in 1983.
