Selena Gomez wowed in a red ruffled dress as she joined Zoe Saldana in a photocall for their new film Emilia Perez during the Cannes Film Festival on Sunday.

It comes after Selena got emotional at the premiere of her upcoming film at the star-studded premiere on Saturday night.

The 31-year-old artist wiped away tears after the Jacques Audiard-directed musical crime drama received an impressive nine-minute standing ovation.

For Sunday’s photocall, she continued to bring the glam in an off-the-shoulder red dress with ruffles around the neckline.

She completed the look with pointy-toed matching shoes and wore her dark locks in perfect waves.

Meanwhile, Zoe, 45, wore a chic gray blazer and a sheer skirt which was paired with heels to add to her height.

Selena got emotional at the film’s premiere on Saturday.

Gomez — who recently opened up about her hiatus on social media — was also joined by her costars Zoe and Edgar Ramirez, who hugged after the film ended, according to Variety.

Later, Gomez shared photos from the film’s afterparty on her Instagram Story.

The Disney Channel alum sizzled in a dark green long-sleeved dress as she relaxed on an outdoor couch.

The Only Murders In The Building star was adorned with several jewelery pieces and her gorgeous brunette locks were partially tied back into a wavy ponytail.

It was revealed that Gomez had signed on to star in Emilia Perez in January 2023.

The film centers on a lawyer who is recruited by a Mexican drug lord to help him undergo gender reassignment surgery to become a woman.

The Love You Like A Love Song singer plays the unsuspecting wife of the cartel leader in the film.

The film’s cast is led by Karla Sofia Gascon and includes artists such as Mark Ivanir and Adriana Paz.

Production on the feature film was initially scheduled to take place in 2022, although filming was pushed back several months due to scheduling conflicts.

Audiard spoke to Variety earlier this year and revealed that he didn’t initially envision Emilia Perez as a feature film.

The director told the media that he initially thought the project would take the form of “an opera libretto in four acts,” although he later changed his mind.

‘It was the first time an idea emerged [for a film] came to me in this form,” he added.

The filmmaker further stated that he shot the film primarily in studios because working on set gave him “more freedom for the parts that are sung and choreographed.”

He described his choice to film his project in a studio as “a return to a primal intuition.”

Emilia Perez is currently set to hit theaters in France on August 28.
