So much for all that happy sharing and smiling at the White House. Of threatening us rates to pull the rug out from under us in the Falkland Islands, we have finally discovered what American friendship really means.
The truth is that the Americans don’t care about us and they won’t come to our aid. It’s time for Britain to finally grow up, leave behind the illusion of the ‘special relationship’ and shake off the American dream once and for all.
