Passenger scolded for ‘unforgivable sin’ for not moving up in an airport check-in queue – as British travelers say they are ‘angry’ by her queuing etiquette
A woman has sparked a fierce debate online after a photo showed her refusing to check in in line at an airport.
The photo – believed to have been taken at an airport in Argentina – was posted on Redditand shows a huge gap between the end of the row and the unknown woman, who had not moved to close the empty space.
While the person taking the photo was clearly baffled by the woman’s passivity, she remained focused on her phone and barely seemed to notice.
The stunned photographer must have questioned the traveler at some point, as they say they were told, “It’s the same if I move now or later.”
The funny photo has divided opinion, with many claiming queuing was a “British” thing, while one person said her refusal to move was an “unforgivable sin.”

The poster wrote on Reddit, “This girl at the airport is waiting for the line to move all the way to the front to continue.
“People confronted her and she said ‘it’s the same if I move now or later’.”
The post divided opinion and generated 4,700 responses.
One response read: ‘This news is making so many British people so angry.’
Another wrote: ‘They say we Brits like to queue. We don’t and I’ll be the first to tell you.’
Another who claimed to be from the US said, ‘I’m an American and it’s so annoying. I bet she’s in the front of the plane and takes 20 minutes to get her poop out of the baggage compartment when the plane lands.’

Meanwhile, one person joked that she took away the “illusion of progress.”

Queuing etiquette has long been the cause of many airport flare-ups.
During the 2017 Chinese New Year trip, a fierce fight broke out in which two men hit each other in front of a long line of passengers.
They started arguing while queuing to get through security, as one passenger had allegedly tried to jump in front of the line, enraging the other and leading to a fistfight.
The incident took place at around 5 a.m. at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport in southern China. Airport security personnel arrived on the scene and managed to separate the couple.
The two passengers ran into each other again on a shuttle bus while on their way to their boarding gates and got into another altercation.
The argument was stopped by guards and the police were called.
Officers managed to calm both parties, who apologized to each other.
