And now the owner and designer of the breathtaking property has shared the inspiration behind it and offered a glimpse behind the sparkling doors.

Located on the sparkling river in Noosaville, Queensland, the ‘ONE W’ house is the brainchild of architect Paul Clout who lives there with his wife.

“We wanted the house to have a modern, streamlined look without losing the character, warmth and tropical feel that suits the location,” he told FEMAIL.

The main living area is designed as if it were floating above the water, taking full advantage of the views through ceiling-high windows.

Sheer curtains billow in the wind and, when drawn, create a heavenly soft light to complement the home’s minimalist color palette and earthy textures.

There is a symphony of natural textures – from the cobblestone sandstone accent walls to the smooth wooden floors and ceilings. Marbled benches and splashbacks in the kitchen also combine to add a touch of quiet luxury.

“We had to distribute the living spaces across the three levels to achieve the spaces we needed that would also maximize the views,” he explained.

“It’s kind of like living in reverse, because we go up instead of down for our entertainment and outdoor living.”

‘The house was designed mainly for my wife and me, the house had to be a place for us to live and enjoy with a relaxed yet understated feel, so when we were alone in the house it didn’t feel too big,’ he says. said.

“We also wanted our children and various guests to be able to come and stay whenever they wanted, so we also had to create spaces to accommodate them comfortably.”
