Glamorous social media reporter Taylor Haynes is rumored to be the youngster to take over as weather presenter on Today following the departure of Tim Davies.
The soon-to-be former weatherman, 42, has announced his last bulletin will be on September 18, after seven years in the role.
And sources tell the Daily Mail that Haynes, 27, will step into his shoes in three weeks’ time after two years as a permanent understudy in the role.
Haynes was promoted from producer to social reporter in February 2023 and made headlines for sharing stunning bikini photos online.
Since then, she has covered major sporting events, red carpets, entertainment and weather.
Earlier this year, she even went viral when a large crab crushed her finger with its claw during a live crossbreed, causing severe nerve damage.

Haynes started at Nine as Sonia Kruger’s personal assistant after first catching the showbusiness bug in 2018 when she attended a live taping of The Voice.
‘I told my mother: this is what I want to do. I want to be just like presenter Sonia Kruger. I’m going to work on this show,” she previously told Body + Soul.
She later spent three years as a producer at Nine before being promoted to social reporter.
Haynes, the daughter of Illawarra-based i98fm breakfast radio host Marty Haynes, is also a prolific user of Instagram, where she enjoys posting bikini photos.
The Daily Mail has approached Nine for comment.
It comes just hours after Today show weatherman Davies announced his shock departure from the Channel Nine breakfast program after seven years in the role.
After more than 900 flights, Davies’ final weather bulletin will be broadcast on September 18, 2026.
His departure follows seven years of early starts, nationwide tours and countless memorable live broadcasts that made him one of Australian breakfast television’s most recognizable weather presenters.

Davies admitted the decision was bittersweet, but said the time was right to step away from the relentless travel schedule.
“People always tell me I have the best job in television, and they’re not wrong,” he said.
“It’s a privilege to work with the best broadcasters, travel to new destinations every day and showcase incredible Aussies.”
The presenter added that delivering uplifting stories had been one of the greatest rewards of the role.
“Not all journalists can bring good news, good vibes and smiles to every story, so now that I’ve achieved all that and more, it seems like the right time to take a step back, sleep in, take a break without a camera crew and prepare for my next adventure.”
Davies, who joined Today in 2019, has become a familiar face to viewers thanks to his action-packed weather crosses from all corners of Australia.
During his time on the programme, he has taken part in a range of heart-racing stunts live on air, including skydiving, bungee jumping, abseiling down sky-high attractions, racing high-powered vehicles and even getting up close and personal with sharks and crocodiles.
Director of Morning Television Steven Burling paid tribute to Davies and praised the impact he had on regional communities across Australia.
And sources tell Daily Mail that Haynes will step into his shoes in three weeks’ time, having spent two years as a permanent understudy in the role.
“Tim is a beloved member of the Today host family and he leaves enormous shoes to fill,” Burling said.
“During his time, he has given small towns and communities a platform, spotlighting their people and causes to a national audience, and that will leave a lasting impact.”
Burling also revealed that the network fully supports Davies’ decision to slow down after years of constant travel.
“We fully support Tim putting down some roots after living out of a suitcase for seven years,” he said.
‘I would like to thank Tim for everything he has contributed to the show. I know the team and the public will miss him immensely.”
Nine has confirmed that an announcement regarding Davies’ replacement will be made in the coming weeks.
