Neighbors star Scarlet Vas reveals the truth about her so-called 'stepbrother' after announcing second pregnancy: 'We are not step-siblings'

Neighbors star Scarlet Vas has claimed her husband Tayo Ricci is her ‘stepbrother’, just days after announcing she is pregnant with their second child.

The couple previously told fans they are step-siblings in interviews and video skits, but they have now said the claim is false in a clip shared to Instagram.

“I’m really sorry to admit this, but we’re not step-siblings. I honestly have no idea where this came from,” 31-year-old Vas said in an email on Thursday TMZ clamp.

“Well, we did do that one skit,” Ricci, 29, joked before playing a clip of the pair pretending to be step-siblings as they kissed. “That explains it.”

‘Our parents have never had a relationship. Tayo’s parents have been together for forty years and my parents for twenty years,” Vas continued.

“So to all the major media companies that continue to headline ‘stepchildren having another baby’, we would like to formally ask you to stop doing so,” Ricci added.

“And we’re not step-siblings.”

It comes after Vas announced she is expecting her second child with Ricci, three years after they tied the knot.

The couple shared the happy news in a sweet Instagram post last Wednesday, where Vas debuted her growing baby bump.

Vas and Ricci met as teenagers in Melbourne and later married in 2023.

Vas’ video showed her and Ricci walking together with their daughter Silva, 19 months, before unveiling the ultrasound pictures of their new arrival.

Vas shared the baby news with their followers and captioned her post: ‘We couldn’t keep this a secret any longer…’

Vas and Ricci tied the knot on the Greek island of Mykonos, with the brunette beauty wearing a strapless tiered wedding dress with a high slit.

However, she revealed to news.com.au that guests thought she was ‘naked’ due to the weather.

Should celebrities be held responsible for misleading fans with fake relationship stories?

The couple previously told fans they are step-siblings in interviews and video skits, but they have now said the claim is false in a clip shared to Instagram.

“It was a dress with lots of layers, but it wasn’t see-through, you absolutely couldn’t see underneath it,” she told news.com.au.

Scarlet explained that the weather was so windy that as she walked down the aisle “my veil flew off and the dress split open revealing my underwear.”

“Everyone thought I went ‘naked’ to my wedding, but it was just the wind that blew away all the layers, so it looked like I wasn’t wearing anything at the bottom,” she said.

In September, they shared their first pregnancy news with a sweet Instagram video showing the moment they received a positive test.

The couple also shared ultrasound scans of their baby’s heartbeat and later revealed they were welcoming a baby girl.

“Baby Ricci. Our Christmas Miracle,” the video captioned.

Vas is best known for her role as police officer Mishti Sharma in Neighbors from 2017 to 2018. She has since become a successful OnlyFans model.

She recently revealed she is now making a fortune sharing sexy snaps with Ricci on the online adult subscription service.

‘I’m in the 0.01%, the lowest you can achieve with OF. But every month it gets better,” she told the Uncensored Podcast.

‘Just like last month was my best month. I’ve made almost $200,000 and this month I’m going to make over $200,000.

“I mean, the fans love us like it’s a thing or not. He is my stepbrother and Australian and we have known each other for a long time.’
