Queen Rania of Jordan‘s daughter Princess Imaan has welcomed twin girls with her New York-based financier husband.
‘Healthy, happy and finally here. We have waited so long to meet you, Talia and Rania,” King Abdullah II and his wife wrote in an Instagram post announcing the happy news.
The two royal houses looked the picture of happiness as they held their newest grandchildren in sweet family photos in the caption.
Iman also shares one-year-old Amina with her husband Jameel Thermiotis, whom she married in March 2023.
The couple kept the pregnancy private for most of the year, with Rania only sharing a photo of Iman with her baby bump in July.
“A new joy on the way,” she wrote. “The grandkids club is growing and we couldn’t be happier for Iman, Jameel and soon-to-be big sister Amina!”
Rania, a tribute to the queen, means “radiant” in Arabic, while Talia is “morning dew” or “gentle dew from heaven.”
It is the third and fourth grandchild of the king and queen in just over two years.

The royal court announced the news last week, writing: ‘The Royal Hashemite Court is pleased to announce that Her Royal Highness Princess Iman bint Abdullah II and Mr. Jameel Alexander Thermiotis were blessed with twin girls on August 14, 2026.
It expressed its “sincere congratulations and best wishes to Princess Iman and Mr. Jameel, as well as to Their Majesties King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein and Queen Rania Al Abdullah on this happy occasion.”
Princess Iman is the eldest daughter of Queen Rania and King Abdullah of Jordan. Her husband Jameel was born in Caracas, Venezuela, to a Greek family. He currently works as a Managing Partner for a venture capital fund in the US, where the two reportedly first met.
When Jameel proposed, he gifted his bride-to-be a beautiful emerald-cut diamond.
In 2023, the young couple enjoyed a fairytale wedding at the Beit Al Urdun Palace in the Jordanian capital Amman – once known as the place where Prince William And Crown Prince Hussein watched football together.
The beautiful bride wowed onlookers in a custom Dior gown and her mother’s diamond tiara.
The Hashemite family were all smiles as they cuddled the swaddled newborns, one of which was named in honor of her grandmother

In 2024, Iman’s older brother, Crown Prince Hussein of Jordan, had a daughter whom he named Iman after his sister.
However, according to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Iman is not in line for the throne, and neither is her baby.
The throne will be passed down through the dynasty of King Abdullah Ibn Al-Hussein, according to a hereditary line of male heirs.
Article 28 of the Constitution of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan states: ‘The royal title passes from the holder of the throne to his eldest son, then to the eldest son of that eldest son, and then linearly successively in a similar process. Should the eldest son die before the throne passes to him, his eldest son will inherit the throne, even if the deceased has brothers. However, the King can appoint one of his brothers as heir to the throne. In this case the title of the Throne will pass to him from the holder of the Throne.’
Even if Hussein has no sons, the constitution would dictate that his younger brother, Prince Hashem, take over as king.
Princess Iman’s birth took place about a year after Hussein and Rajwa’s extravagant wedding attracted a star-studded guest list, including the Prince and Princess of Wales.
Rajwa was born in Riyadh into a prominent and wealthy Saudi Arabian family distantly related to the country’s current ruler, King Salman.
