Debicki’s stylist Elizabeth Saltzman shared Fashion that the inspiration for the actress’s outfit was taken from Anita Louise’s character Titania in a 1935 adaptation of A Midsummer Night’s Dream and a “70s kind of socially cool girl today” with “quirkiness of a 60s heiress at a garden party.” ‘

“Elizabeth is so unique and ethereal, she lives without social media, but as soon as she walks into the room, people stop and take notice. I’ve seen it happen everywhere,” Saltzman said.

The British-born fashion mainstay revealed the ‘cardinal sin’ she committed while planning this year’s exhibition.

“This exhibition broke my cardinal rule, Jenna, and that’s when we came up with the title Sleeping Beauties: it’s beautiful and poetic and romantic, but it could actually be many things,” she said.

Anna joined forces with Andrew Bolton, the curator of the MET Costume Institute, to determine Garden of Time’s dress code.

In addition to Michelle, other celebrity guests included Kim Kardashian, Emily Ratajkowski, Sabrina Carpenter and Ariana Grande.
