Mel B’s daughter Phoenix Chi Brown has landed her first acting role when she landed a part in Hollyoaks.
While Spice Girl Mel, 51 – who the 27-year-old shares with ex-husband Jimmy Gulzar, also 51 – has forged a successful career as a singer and TV judge, Phoenix is heading in a different direction with a small role in the Channel 4 soap.
Phoenix will appear alongside Hollyoaks stalwart Kieron Richardson, whose character Ste Hay is kidnapped in a dramatic plot set in a shopping centre.
In scenes set to air on Wednesday, September 2, the character of Phoenix will have a ‘fleeting interaction’ with Ste in the special episode filmed in Runcorn Shopping City, reports The sun.
Promotional soap photos show DJ Phoenix having lunch at a table in the shopping center while Ste sits nearby on his phone before being snatched.
Phoenix puts on a red and white striped sweater and dark cargo pants and looks at the character, who is unaware of his impending fate.

Ste goes missing after stopping in a shopping center after convincing Mercedes McQueen and Leela Lomax to stop for a toilet break on their way to a spa getaway.
They don’t know that they are being watched by Gemma Johnson’s men, who have been ordered to get rid of her love rival Mercedes.
The Daily Mail has contacted Phoenix’s representative for comment.
As well as Hollyoaks, Phoenix has made a number of TV appearances over the years including The Games, Born Famous, Loose Women and Celebrity Gogglebox alongside Mel.
Last year, Phoenix claimed that nepo babies have “never faced so much hate” as she opened up about the challenges of having famous parents.
Phoenix fronted Channel 4 documentary Born in the Limelight – Nepo Babies: Untold, which first aired in October 2024 before returning to screens in early 2025.
The debate surrounding ‘nepo (nepotism) babies’ has taken the world by storm in recent years, with many in the spotlight thinking they had been given a head start by their famous parents.
New York magazine even declared 2022 the “year of the nepo baby,” with examples including Lily-Rose Depp, Kaia Gerber and Dakota Johnson.

In the documentary, Phoenix warns that ‘hatred’ for nepobabies has never been higher due to the public’s obsession with the concept.
She also wonders why society has accepted the ‘ultimate nepo baby’ Prince William, while celebrities like Brooklyn Beckham have come under fire.
Speak with Radio times Speaking at the documentary’s release, she said: ‘I can’t deny that having Mel B as my mother has opened a few doors.
‘However, in recent years there has been increasing anger over what appears to be more and more children of famous people making it in the entertainment industry.
“Even when nepobabies are good at their job, they face backlash fueled by misunderstanding, jealousy, or resentment. The issue has never generated so much hatred or become so feverish and toxic.”
In the documentary, she asks, “I wonder why society has accepted the ultimate nepo baby in the royal family, but not in the celebrity world?”
‘Nepotism is everywhere, no matter what area you work in. However, the entertainment industry is very visible.
“It’s clear there’s a problem… but targeting nepo babies as individuals won’t get us anywhere. We need to explore the bigger social issues.”
