Marriage drama! Annie Knight ditches bridesmaids and reveals family rift as James Brayshaw won't attend wedding to son Henry

Annie Knight has spoken out about some of the challenges she faced while planning her upcoming wedding, including missing out on bridesmaids and her future father-in-law not being present.

The Australian influencer, 28, who is weeks away from walking down the aisle with her fiancé Henry Brayshaw, the son of Australian sporting legend James Brayshaw, revealed the retired cricketer will not be attending after a row with his son.

“I think it’s been a little hard for him with the wedding coming up. It’s obviously hard, we always do our best to just focus on the positives,” Annie shared The Daily Telegraph.

“We have his beautiful mother coming, his beautiful brothers. My family is coming. We are so lucky to have such a supportive family.”

Annie and Henry have been very candid about some of the personal issues they have been dealing with recently, including his gambling addiction, which left him in debt of $180,000.

She added that supporting Henry during this difficult time had taken an emotional toll on her.

“If your partner is struggling with something, you take it on. I tried to pick up the pieces for Henry, but I didn’t realize I was suffering,” Annie said.

In June, Annie shared the astonishing cost of her upcoming wedding.

Annie detailed the cost of her big day in a video, revealing it will cost a total of $170,000.

‘I’m going to go through the most important things and then tell you the total. The location itself cost us $60,000. That includes a wedding coordinator for the day, all food and alcohol,” Annie began.

“Accommodation for the groomsmen costs $4,000 for three nights. All of mine and Henry’s family’s flights and accommodation also cost $4,000 for two nights.”

She then revealed some other shock costs that made her ceremony significantly more expensive than the Australian average.

“I spent $12,000 on my dress, Henry’s ring cost $3,000, my reception dresses – I have two because I didn’t know which one I wanted – totaled $5,000, my wedding shoes $3,000,” she continued.

“Our wedding cake cost $850, the bridesmaids’ dresses were all worth $3,000. All groomsmen outfits, including shoes, cost $7,000. All hair and makeup for me and my bridesmaids cost $4,000, a photographer and videographer $10,000.

Annie and Henry have been very candid about some of the personal issues they have struggled with recently, including his gambling addiction, which has seen him rack up $180,000 in debt.

“Social content was $2,700, our celebrant was $2,000. The total cost of the wedding is $170,000, which is a little over budget, but I expected more… so I’m very happy with it!’

With the average wedding ceremony in Australia costing around $35,000, their big day is about five times more expensive than what most couples pay.

In May, it was reported that Annie has well and truly stepped into bridal mode.

Annie announced her engagement to Henry via Instagram in March last year and posed with him as he popped the question during a romantic dinner.

She also showed off her oval-shaped diamond engagement ring, which Daily Mail Australia revealed earlier this year is worth up to $200,000.
