Maria Thattil reveals a vile troll threatened to ‘beat the gay out of her’ after she revealed she was dating AFLW star Moana Hope

Maria Thattil has once again become the target of vicious homophobia.

The former Miss Universe Australia, 31, has received nasty messages since she started dating AFWL star Moana Hope, saying a hateful troll threatened to physically attack her for being in a same-sex relationship.

“I had someone comment on a video of my partner and me, saying I needed to be physically attacked to beat the gay out of me,” Maria revealed on her It’s All Her podcast.

“I haven’t talked about it, but it’s like you have to be defeated to get back to your standard. For example, these are the messages that people think are good to send me.’

Maria went on to say, “All you can do is laugh because there are people who think like that,” despite how scary it is.

‘I don’t feed it. “I block and delete because if I fed everything my mental health would be in really bad shape,” she added.

This isn’t the first time Maria has opened up about the cruel comments she’s received about her romantic relationship with Moana.

In November, the brunette beauty shared a mean message with her fans via Instagram: “This makes me sick, you’re both going to hell.”

The model hit back at the troll with an epic comeback.

“I read this comment to Moana Hope this morning and she gave me a high five and said ‘see you later,'” she wrote in response.

Meanwhile, Moana recently hinted that she will soon propose to the brunette beauty.

In one photo, Moana even appeared to be about to do just that sit on bent knee and ask the question.

In the comments, fans noted the romantic mood of the images, with one person asking: ‘How do I get tickets to the wedding?’

Moana quickly responded to the curious follower: “Watch this space!” along with a laughing emoji.
