Craig McLachlan’s gross nickname on SAS Australia is revealed before he quits the show after collapsing

Craig McLachlan’s shocking nickname was revealed during Monday night’s episode of SAS Australia before he quit the show.

After waking up at 5am, Craig, 58, decided to grab some quick eggs with the other stars ahead of the intense training task.

AFL Women’s star Abbey Holmes then told the actor: “Get down, sphincter lips!”

A bewildered Matthew Mitcham almost choked on his meal as he asked: ‘Sphincter lips?’

“That’s what he calls himself,” Abbey explained.

Later in the episode, Craig left SAS Australia after admitting his body wasn’t strong enough to continue with the course.

He admitted that while he had the mental stamina needed to go all the way, he was struggling physically.

While attempting a grueling challenge that required teams to crawl through mud over rough terrain, an exhausted Craig suddenly fell to his knees.

“I have to go to the doctor,” he shouted.

When asked what’s going on, Craig explained, “I feel like a hot knife through fucking butter.”

Ant Middleton then instructed Craig to stand up, before continuing to shout at him until he made a decision.

“If you can’t continue, you’ll let the team down on the ground tomorrow,” he told him at the time.

Craig then replied: ‘I can’t let them down (fellow recruits)’ before removing his number and handing it over.

‘You did the right thing. Because tomorrow you’d be out on the property like a damn idiot, alone, with no one to pick you up,” Ant said.

Craig then told Ant that he hoped he didn’t let him down, to which he replied: ‘No, you didn’t let us down. You did a great job.

Later in the episode, Craig was forced to leave SAS Australia after admitting his body wasn’t strong enough to continue on the course.

‘Absolutely wonderful. Your body has given up on you… That’s all.’

Craig then explained, “Psychologically, I have what it takes. I’ve worked too hard and had too many challenges to just pack it in.”

“If I want to take off my bracelet… I’m going to have to be… physically broken, you know.”

The actor subsequently admitted that he could not continue and turned in his bracelet, ending his time on the show.
