The professional dancer, originally from Russia, called the moment “special” as she posted two beautiful photos on Instagram of herself posing with the official documents.
Luba, 34, who took part in the glitzy BBC One competition in 2018, captioned the post: ‘She is a British citizen. Special’ with a Union Jack flag and heart emojis.
Fellow Strictly friends flooded her post as judge Shirley Ballas wrote: “Huge congratulations.”
Zara McDermott, a contestant on this year’s series, left a row of love heart emojis while pro dancer Carlos Gu wrote: “congratulations.”

Gorka Marquez, Karen Hauer and Helen Skelton also left sparkling star comments of support and congratulations.
It comes just weeks after Luba got emotional in a social media clip with dance partner Adam Thomas after they were eliminated from this year’s show.
The Waterloo Road star, 35, and his professional partner became the sixth couple to be eliminated from the show after losing to Angela Rippon and Kai Widdrington in the dance-off.
Adam took to Instagram along with Luba to thank their fans for their support during the competition.
He started by admitting, “Hey guys, it’s been a while. Sorry guys, I haven’t been very active here. I just needed a day to think… honestly, I was hungover.
“We just wanted to continue here and thank everyone. Thank you for your support, to everyone who picked up the phone and voted week in and week out.
‘Without you we would never have gotten to week seven, and actually not this one either.’
Turning to Luba, he added: ‘I couldn’t have reached week seven without you, darling’ and Luba joked: ‘No, you couldn’t’.

Adam continued, “What a journey it has been. But sadly our Strictly Come Dancing journey is over. But we had a blast.”
Luba then became visibly teary, causing Adam to laugh and say, “Don’t cry!” Luba is doing well. No not again!
‘Sorry guys, she’s very emotional because she feels like she won’t see me again, but you will be in my life forever! Do not worry. I have to go get her a tissue now.’
He captioned the clip: “Thank you so much for all your messages and all the love shared!!! Without you we couldn’t have gotten as far as we have!!!
‘But that’s it!! Now hang up my dancing shoes, put my feet up and watch the show from home with the family!!
‘But I will look back on this experience with a big smile on my face. Love from me and this special @lubamushtuk.’
