Love Island couple split after a whirlwind romance as she deletes all trace of him from her social media

Love Island UK star Lucinda Strafford has split from Love Island Australia’s Zac Nunns.

The influencer, 24, and the New Zealander, 25, struck up a romance on the Australian version of the popular ITV2 dating show last year.

The couple, who had been dating for months, had both moved away and visited each other in Britain and Australia, making their long-distance romance work.

However, the pair have now unfollowed each other on social media and Lucinda has deleted all traces of Zac from her Instagram, while he still has a few photos of their time together.

To confirm the news, Zac took to his Instagram Story to share his “heartbreak” over the breakup in a statement.

“I don’t have a good feeling about the situation and appreciate all the support so far.”

It comes as Ny Breaking Australia revealed the pair had split so Lucinda, who appeared in season seven of the British series, can ‘pursue opportunities on Love Island: All Stars’ – despite the show wrapping next Monday.

An insider exclusively told Ny Breaking Australia that Zac is ‘heartbroken’ over the devastating split.

It was only last month that the former lovebirds, who were runners-up on the reality show, were spotted packing on the PDA at an event in Sydney, Australia.

The couple couldn’t keep their hands off each other while attending their new management’s New Year’s Eve party.

The event marked Zac and Lucinda’s first trip to Sydney since finding love on the dating show.

Lucinda also shared a sweet TikTok of the couple ringing in New Year’s Eve together on a romantic date night.

Prior to that, the couple revealed plans to move in together.

‘After the show finished I went straight to Britain with Lucinda, then we went to Paris, Portugal and traveled around the UK together. We had a great time,” Zac said 9Entertainment.

‘I’ll eventually move in with Lucinda in Britain.’

Lucinda filmed Love Island Australia in Mallorca last year and walked away from the show with new partner Zac, who flew to Britain and stayed at her home in Brighton.

According to friends, Lucinda, who appeared in the 2021 series of Love Island UK, was ‘in love’ with Zac and was desperate to make their long-distance relationship work.

A friend said: ‘When Lucinda signed up for Australian Love Island she didn’t think she would leave the show with someone like Zac. He checks all the right boxes and she is in love.

‘Obviously there is a huge distance between the two, but Zac is keen to make things work and a move to Britain has been mooted.

‘They’re going to see how it turns out, but it’s mainly a matter of ‘watch this space.’

Zac is a former electrician but is now studying media and communications and is taking a break from his studies to star in Australia’s Love Island.

The reality star previously moved countries for love after moving to Brazil to be with an ex-girlfriend before the relationship ended, leading to his decision to return to Australia where he is usually based.

Lucinda teamed up with Brad McClelland and Aaron Francis during her time on the UK version of Love Island, having previously dated former Brighton footballer Aaron Connelly before entering the villa.

She entered the show at the same time as eventual winner Millie Court.

After her time on the series, she mended her relationship with her ex-footballer, but the pair struggled to make things work and eventually ended the romance for good.

A source told The Sun: ‘Everyone thought Lucinda and Aaron would really give it a go this time.

‘Aaron was quite confused when she decided to do Love Island, but they walked away from it and seemed stronger than ever.

“In the end, they just couldn’t make it work and decided it would be better for both of them if they stayed single.”
