Liam Payne’s girlfriend Kate Cassidy paid tribute on what would have been the singer’s 33rd birthday.
The influencer dated the singer for two years until he died in October 2024 at the age of 31 after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina with alcohol and cocaine in his system.
Kate shared a montage of photos on Instagram on Saturday, writing: ‘Your birthday will always be your day. I love you, think of you, miss you always. Happy birthday, Liam.”
The pictures showed Liam with their rescue dog Nala, on a night out and relaxing in their garden.
Fans wrote in the comments: “Always sending you so much love” and “Congratulations Liam!”
It comes after Kate revealed her ‘angel’ tattoo tribute is being removed from her hand.

The influencer dated the singer for two years until he died in October 2024 at the age of 31 after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Kate shared a video from the tattoo removal studio of her having ‘444’ lasered off her left hand, 21 months after the One Direction star tragically died.
She originally got the ink, as well as the ‘LP’ on her wrist, in the months after Liam died, as the numbers had special meaning to the couple as it was their ‘angel number’.
It’s an ideology that probably dates back to the sixth century in ancient Greece, with the Pythagoreans, who believed that numbers had mystical, spiritual properties to create positivity and guidance.
Kate took a mirror selfie while wearing the goggles prior to the deletion, before sharing a clip of the ‘444’ being erased from her hand.
However, the influencer revealed that she has ‘decided to have some tattoos removed that were poorly done’ and insisted that she would ‘eventually get them redone’.
The social media star often shares tributes to her late boyfriend, signing them off with their number ‘444’.
She also previously shared a romantic note that Liam had written to her, but asked her not to read it until later. In the note, Liam expressed his desire to be engaged and married within a year, signing it with the phrase: “Me and Kate getting married within a year/Engaged and together forever 444.”

Earlier this month, Kate broke down in tears as she read old love letters from the late One Direction star.
Taking to Instagram, Kate couldn’t hold back her tears in an emotional video in which she describes how she tries to move on amid her grief.
The blonde beauty explained that she was sitting in her basement surrounded by stacks of love letters handwritten by Liam.
“Sometimes when I’m just feeling sad, I read old letters that Liam wrote to me and it makes me even sadder,” she said.
“I almost feel like people don’t write letters and I have a mountain of letters and diaries and books and all these things that he left me.”
Kate continued, “I was just reading this one letter and I have to say his handwriting is a bit messy at times.
‘So sometimes I have trouble reading his letters, but for my birthday he bought me a car. “I’m shaking because I get sad,” she admitted.
‘I haven’t read this letter in so long. I feel like when you’ve lost someone, it almost helps to read a letter and think as if they literally wrote it from heaven and are giving it to you today.”
As she read Liam’s letter aloud, Kate said, “I hope that when you travel, you remember that I am with you, body and soul.
“With every ride you remember how much you rode me and all the hopes and dreams I have for your future.
“You will become a superstar when you learn to love yourself the way I love you.
‘So drive slowly and don’t forget to take your foot off the accelerator in life too. Your twenties are so hard and you’re halfway through navigating them.
‘You haven’t lost my love at all. You take the beautiful road to find yourself and I can’t wait to be there for every speed bump, left and right turn and roundabout. I love you.’
Kate then broke down in tears after struggling to get through the short note she read.
“I know he’s cheering me on from above and watching me navigate my life.
“There are times in life when I feel so unmotivated and stressed, but reading those few sentences makes me want to work harder and push myself to see what I can do in this life.
“That’s why it’s so important to write letters to your loved ones.”
