The English actress portrays the transformation of American photographer Lee Miller from model to celebrated war correspondent during World War II.
At the event she also met Lee Miller’s son, British photographer Antony Penrose.

Earlier this month, Kate said women should celebrate having “a real figure, being soft and maybe a few extra rolls” after she was told to hide her “belly rolls” on the Lee film set.
The actress said she found the comment “absolutely bizarre” because Lee Miller’s body “is supposed to be soft.”
Kate told the BBC’s Laura Kuenssberg: ‘My job was to be like Lee. She didn’t lift weights or do Pilates, she ate cheese, bread and drank wine and didn’t make a big deal about it, so of course her body would be soft.’
“But I think we’re so used to maybe not necessarily seeing it and enjoying it – the instinctive reaction, oddly enough, is to see it and criticize it or comment on it in some way.”
“It’s interesting how much people love labels for women. And they loved them in Lee’s day, and, sadly, they still love them today — we put these labels on women that we just don’t have for men. It’s absolutely bizarre to me.”
She added: ‘Life’s too short, you know? I don’t want to look back and think, “Why did I worry about that thing?” And so, guess what? I don’t worry anymore. I don’t care.
“I’m just going to live my life, enjoy it, get on with it. You’ve got one shot – make the most of it.”
Lee will be in theaters from Friday, September 27.
