An Iraqi man who exhibited ‘particularly dangerous behavior’ has appeared in court accused of raping a 14-year-old boy in an alley in an English seaside town.
Sadiq Farhad Azad, 33, allegedly raped the boy in an alley London Road in Portsmouth.
He is accused of speaking to the teenager, whom he did not know, on a bus before following and attacking him.
He has been charged with rape, stalking and criminal damage in Portsmouth after police received reports he had also stalked a woman in her 20s.
Azad, who is of no fixed abode, has now appeared at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court where he will be charged.
He appeared in the dock wearing a gray shirt.
On August 11, police received a report that a 14-year-old child had been raped by a man he had spoken to on the bus between 7 and 8 p.m.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary said it had launched an investigation into the alleged attack after it was reported to police five days later.

During the investigation, a woman in her 20s made a separate allegation on September 1 that a man had been stalking her for a year and had damaged a relative’s car.
Investigation led officers to arrest Azad for both offences.
The Iraqi was subsequently charged with rape of a child aged 13 to 15, stalking and criminal damage to property worth less than £5,000.
Judge Anthony Callaway said: “Sadiq Azad, you come to this court on three separate matters.
‘One of these concerns the rape of a 14-year-old boy in August this year. The first concerns a separate issue of stalking and the other of criminal damage.
“These will all be sent to the Crown Court for your next hearing on October 5.”
Azad’s next hearing will be a plea and trial preparation hearing at Portsmouth Crown Court on October 5, 2026.
Prosecutor Graham Heath said: ‘The prosecution say that both the sexual offense and the stalking offense involve particularly dangerous behaviour.’
No bail application has been made and Azad remains in custody.
