The Daily Mail has confirmed that Hickerson filed for dismissal on August 13 at the Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Center in Los Angeles.
Hickerson’s attempt was denied by Judge Olivia Rosales, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office said Page six.
Hickerson had filed two previous petitions to dismiss the case, on July 18 and on June 27 (during a hearing that was postponed), according to records reviewed by the Daily Mail.
The Daily Mail has reached out to Hickerson’s attorney and the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office for further comment on the story.

Hickerson spoke last May with TMZ about previous incidents of domestic violence and abuse in his relationship with the actress, which she described in her memoir released that month.
“I got arrested for abusing her, and I can’t blame her friends for being mad at me, so I don’t really have much say in that,” said Hickerson, who was first linked to the late actress in 2018. “You never lay hands on a woman, after all.”
Hickerson was charged with domestic violence in May 2019, with Panettiere receiving a protective order in the case — as the charges were ultimately dropped.
Hickerson was arrested in July 2020 on eight domestic violence charges.
He ultimately entered a plea to a pair of misdemeanor charges of injuring a partner in April 2021, with the rest of the charges dropped.
Hickerson served 13 days in connection with the arrest.

After the arrest, Panettiere issued a statement saying she hoped to serve as an example to others in a similar situation.
She said: ‘I am coming forward with the truth about what happened to me in the hope that my story will enable others in abusive relationships to get the help they need and deserve.’
Hickerson told the newspaper in May that he kept in regular contact with Panettiere and held out hope that they could resume their romance at some point.
He added: ‘Hayden is one of the most talented people I have ever met in my life.’
