Harper Beckham, 15, writes sweet message to 'role model' Romeo, saying 'I will always look up to you' after being cut from Brooklyn's life

Harper Beckham has called older brother Romeo her ‘role model’ in a loving tribute to mark his 24th birthday.

The youngest child of Victoria and David joined her family on Tuesday by uploading gushing posts dedicated to Romeo.

The eldest Beckham boy Brooklyn, 27, was again the notable exception. He chose not to extend an olive branch after more than a year of estranged relationships with his parents and siblings.

Harper, 15, used Romeo’s birthday to tell him how “lucky” she is “to have you as my brother” as she uploaded a selfie with him.

“Today is all about celebrating you, and I hope you know how loved and appreciated you are,” Harper told Romeo. “You will always be one of the greatest role models in my life, and I will forever look up to you and everything that you are.”

“I’m so lucky to have you as my brother, and I really don’t know what I would do without you.”

“Thank you for always being someone I can look up to and be proud of. I hope this year brings you so much happiness, love and everything you desire because you truly deserve it all.”

Proud Posh reposted the sweet message, admitting: “This melts my heart.”

Harper has a close relationship with both Romeo and brother Cruz. On Saturday, she joined Victoria and David to watch 21-year-old Cruz perform with his band The Breakers at the Reading Festival, after spending the summer with her family aboard the Beckham superyacht in Brooklyn.

Cruz proved their close bond when he dedicated a song to “my little sister” from the stage.

Earlier this year, Harper tried to reconnect with Brooklyn, but her olive branch was rejected.

The teen only visited the mansion Brooklyn shares with wife Nicola Peltz in Beverly Hills after her father David received his Hollywood Walk of Fame star just five miles away. No one was home and she had to leave a letter instead.

Harper was photographed by American paparazzi, prompting Brooklyn to later accuse his parents of “setting up” the photo opportunities, something they strongly deny.

Shortly before Christmas last year, Brooklyn blocked his parents on Instagram, while his lawyers later wrote a letter to the Beckhams’ team asking that all communications be routed through legal representatives.

In January, Brooklyn then released a scathing six-page statement announcing that he had cut ties with his family.

After months of rumors that they were estranged, Brooklyn confirmed the news in January, stating that he was no longer part of ‘Brand Beckham’ and insisting that his parents and their other children are ‘performative’.

On Harper’s birthday in July, a source close to the Beckhams told the Daily Mail’s Katie Hind: ‘Harper is heartbroken and devastated by her brother’s decision not to talk to her and now her birthday is once again turning into a difficult scenario.

‘They were so close. Now he doesn’t want to talk to her and she doesn’t understand why. There’s nothing worse for Harper than him ignoring her on her birthday.

‘All she wants is to have a relationship with her big brother. It’s so horrifying and devastating for David and Victoria to watch.

“Of course, everyone in the Harper family shows so much love. But for the second year in a row, nothing is likely to come from Brooklyn. It’s not her fault he’s estranged. They’ve never had a bad word to say.”

But it is understood they have not spoken to her since before the feud broke out on April 25 last year, ahead of David’s 50th birthday.

Brooklyn and Nicola declined all festivities.

It has been suggested that Brooklyn does not want to talk to his sister because he thinks it will put her in a difficult situation. But friends of Posh and Becks debunk that as a ‘stupid and insulting excuse’.

The Daily Mail reached out to Harper and Brooklyn’s representatives for comment at the time.
