Gwyneth Paltrow showed off her sculpted midriff on Instagram as she got right back to promoting her Goop products in the wake of her latest controversy.
The 53-year-old actress is said to have done that has postponed its dinner honoring billionaire OpenAI CEO Sam Altman after massive setback, a new report claims.
However, she showed no sign of turmoil as she caused a storm this weekend in a new video to promote her brand’s cashmere Jules sweater.
As she turned around and tried on the top in the different colors available, the Oscar-winning actress took the chance to show off her washboard abs.
Paltrow – who saw fans’ fascination with her diet turn to anger when she revealed three years ago that her lunch at the time consisted of bone broth – projected an air of blissful serenity as she showed off her slim body.
The Shakespeare in Love actress informed fans that the Jules sweater, which retails for $595, was 30 percent off this weekend due to Labor Day.

Paltrow dropped the video after a report that she was planning a private off-the-record dinner for controversial tech mogul Altman at her Hamptons home on August 29.
Insiders now claim that last Saturday’s dinner was canceled due to widespread criticism.
‘Due to the backlash, the event was postponed for the time being. The party is probably off,” a source told People.
Earlier this month Puk News shared a photo of the alleged dinner invitations.
“Gwyneth Paltrow invites you to a private, off-the-record al fresco dinner at her home in honor of Sam Altman,” the alleged invitation reads, with a Goop-affiliated RSVP email address.
The invite quickly went viral and caused a wave of reactions on social media, with one commenter on
The setback comes amid public skepticism toward tech giants and artificial intelligence (AI) companies like OpenAI, where Altman serves as CEO.

“It really makes it clear that her organic, chemical-free, homemade food aesthetic was always primarily about elitist.” Sam Altman is literally poisoning the water, baby,” another fan wrote on Threads.
‘I don’t think she really cares how she is perceived politically. She’s in the ‘billionaire class’ and she’s enjoying it,” someone else added.
“Unless I’m forgetting someone, is Gwyneth the most understated celebrity right now?”
Some questioned the purpose of the party: “In honor of Sam Altman??? Why??’
A day later, Ms. Paltrow shared a series of satirical party invitations via Instagram, each tailor-made for a fictional pop culture guest.
The invitations appeared to be AI-generated, with identical formatting to the original rumored invitation shared by Puck News, while simply changing the guest of honor’s name and RSVP email.
The five guests of honor were Samantha Jones from Shrek, Sex and the City, the evil AI-powered android doll M3GAN, Jessica Rabbit and comedian Courtney O’Donnell’s alter ego, Chanty Beluga.
“We serve swordfish burritos and cheddar foam lattes upon request,” the wellness guru wrote in the caption.

However, not all fans were amused by Paltrow’s humorous response, with one writing: ‘Stop supporting AI giants. I hope this helps, Gwyneth’.
“You love fresh organic vegetables, but you don’t care if others have access to fresh water if they live near an AI data center,” read another comment.
“Nice try, but no,” someone else chimed in.
“Tone deaf anyway.”
However, others showed their support for the star, with one fan writing: ‘Nobody trolls like Gwyneth.’
Despite the skepticism surrounding AI, Paltrow himself has embraced the technology.
Earlier this year, her company Goop announced an AI partnership with performance marketing platform Adora.
The actress also said she works on AI “all the time” while speaking with technology journalist Kara Swisher on her Goop podcast this year.
“I find it incredibly helpful,” she said.
In recent months, she has also covered a number of AI topics on the podcast, including the future of AI in healthcare and AI and modern dating.
In a 2025 video for Goop, she also talked about sometimes using AI to create recipes.
‘Lately I’ve been asking various AI platforms for help with things like that. And it’s incredible the recipes you get. You could enter what I just said, but ask them for an exact recipe and you’ll get something great,” she said.
In 2024, Paltrow launched an AI-powered meditation app that unconventionally encourages users to keep their eyes open.
In May, wellness empire Goop laid off more staff and announced a “pivot to AI,” just 18 months after massive layoffs.
In late 2024, Goop implemented two rounds of cuts within two months, laying off about 50 employees.
And earlier this year, Goop unleashed about 20 more, with the rationale of “profitability and AI,” Puck reported.
The layoffs were apparently “justified via a move to AI workflow,” according to the tip on Emily Sundberg’s Feed Me Substack.
