Find the beasts who did this: Trio pretend to be cops, tie up elderly couple and brutally bash them – leaving poor woman with awful injuries

A trio of burglars posed as police officers to break into the home of an elderly couple before brutally beating them.

The sickening attack – which took place in Perth’s Girrawheen on Tuesday evening – has left the couple in their 70s ‘traumatised’.

The men, dressed in black clothing, knocked on the couple’s door and showed fake police badges to gain access to the property.

Officers released a gruesome photo of the woman’s injuries – with her permission – to illustrate the attackers’ brutality

“The attack on the elderly in their home or anyone else in their home is unacceptable.”

WA Police Commissioner Col Blanch said the attack left him “sick to his stomach” and he has tasked a large number of officers to track down the trio.

“It’s a shame to allow people to suffer these kinds of attacks at home and I hope those officers bring those people to justice as soon as possible,” he said.
