In just a few days they will embark on a grueling world tour, but fans are now concerned that KATSEYE will not make it to the stage.
The girl group, which originally started with six members, is now down to three members after a series of health issues.
On Thursday, they announced they were pulling out of their planned performance at Olivia Rodrigo’s Daisy Chain Fields music festival after member Megan Skiendiel sprained her ankle during rehearsal.
Even before Skiendiel’s injury, KATSEYE was down to just four members after Sophia Laforteza took a break on August 7 to focus on her “personal health and well-being.”
Meanwhile, Manon Bannerman has also been on a longer break for health reasons since February 20.
The group now consists of just three members: Daniela Avanzini, Lara Raj and Yoonchae Jeung.

KATSEYE will embark on their sold-out ‘Wildworld’ arena tour on September 1, with the first show scheduled to take place in Dublin, Ireland.
From there they have multiple dates in London and then shows across Europe, before heading to the United States, Canada and finally Mexico.
Fans online have already taken to social media to express their concerns that the tour may now go ahead with just three members – or worse, not at all.
Despite the group’s health concerns, Skiendiel has said she will be present for the tour.
“Yesterday I sprained my ankle during tour rehearsal and my doctors advised me to stay off it and let it heal so I can be ready for the tour,” she said in a statement.
‘I’m devastated to miss Daisy Chain Fields, especially because of everything this festival stands for. Sending all my love to Olivia and to all the amazing artists, nonprofits and volunteers who gave their time to make this day so special,” she continued.
“It’s going to be such a great day and I can’t wait to see everyone on tour.”
As for Laforteza, it is currently unclear whether she will be on the tour or not.

According to the Los Angeles TimesThe 23-year-old’s condition will be ‘reassessed’ in early September and a decision will be made then.
In the meantime, Laforteza has been spotted by fans at Disneyland and hanging out with friends.
Her mother Carla recently told me Vogue Philippines that her daughter currently “goes to Disneyland every day” and bakes, paints and “does everything to get better mentally.”

Despite their health and lineup issues, KATSEYE is currently more successful than ever.
Their new EP Wild just debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart with 170,000 copies sold, making it the biggest U.S. debut for a girl group since Danity Kane’s Welcome to the Dollhouse in 2008.
The five-song album has already spawned several hits on the Hot 100, including Animal, which reached No. 24, and Hootie Frutti, which just debuted at No. 31.

The Los Angeles girl group was formed in 2023 based on the reality competition series Dream Academy.
KATSEYE’s biggest hit, Gabriela, reached No. 21 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and earned a nomination at the 2026 Grammy Awards for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.
The women were also nominated in the Best New Artist category, but the award went to British solo act Olivia Dean.
Last November, the group revealed that they had hired a therapist to help them navigate the spotlight and death threats.
Lara Raj told Rolling Stone, “I try to tell myself it doesn’t matter, but when a thousand people send you death threats… even if it’s not going to happen… it’s tough and shocking.”
