Patsy Palmer wowed in a blue swimsuit in a stunning new Instagram photo shared on Sunday as she enjoyed a girls’ weekend at a luxury Malibu resort.

The EastEnders icon, 54, looked stunning in the stylish checked swimsuit as she posed for the camera before joining her friends for some other fun snaps in her stories.

Patsy, who has lived in LA since 2014, added oversized sunglasses to her holiday look as the star looked happy and relaxed as she kicked back with her friends.

Another photo shows the Bianca Jackson actress showing off her style in a black one-shoulder top and a brown and cream patterned skirt which she paired with strappy heels.

Alongside her grid photos, Patsy wrote: ‘Amazing weekend’ during her stay at the award-winning Calamigos Ranch Resort and Spa, which boasts a private beach club, numerous swimming pools and a number of wellness and sports facilities.

The soap star previously shared that her life in LA contributes to her happiness and well-being.

She said: ‘I think the sun is a great medicine. I would never live somewhere where it gets dark at three o’clock again. That exhausts me. I am a light person.

‘I think I have discovered for myself what I naturally need to be a happy person. It’s sunshine, good food and outdoor living – and just finding the joy in every situation.

‘Being a sensitive person, the smallest little thing can easily bother me and it will devastate me. So I just need to be in the light and be around nice people. I need to be reminded that the world is not as terrible as it now seems.

“I go Pilates, I like the Reformer – I really like the Cadillac Reformer in LA. It has all the essentials and it stretches you.

‘I do it one on one because I’m afraid of hurting myself. I love Pilates and it’s so good for all your stuff internally. And stretching is important. I like walking. I like a sauna and I have a cold dip in the garden.

‘My husband makes baths and I said put one in the garden, like a concrete bath. We did it initially because it was all a bit new, but honestly I can’t be bothered to fill it up.

“If you eat well – 80 percent of it is what you eat – I just try to eat the best I can. It’s hard to eat well in London because you’re cold. So it’s cool [food]. In LA it’s smoothies and salads.’

Patsy revealed she has made a U-turn on cosmetic treatments after swearing it off following a nightmarish ordeal that left her in hospital with a botched treatment Botox.

She said she “freaked out” and ended up in the emergency room when a Botox job went wrong, vowing never to touch it again.

‘That ended my relationship with Botox. It really scared me,” she said at the time.

Last year, Patsy admitted in a candid confession that – against her husband’s wishes – she was returning to cosmetic work and is even planning a facelift in the near future.

‘I do a little Botox every now and then. Of course I tried many different things. I’ve tried fillers before, but I don’t like them,” she admits. ‘I only have a little bit of Botox, I can still move my face. I’ll probably get a little bit more.’
