A controversy over an old Walt Disney animated introduction has been a topic of discussion for years.
And now Kyle Sandilands’ ex-girlfriend Imogen Anthony, 32, has joined the debate, going so far as to claim the celebrity company ‘distorted’ her childhood.
At the center of the speculation is the iconic Disney character Tinkerbell.
The iconic fairy was seen in the short film at the beginning of the Disney productions, in which she flew over Cinderella’s castle.
As the name Disney goes, many fans still remember how Tinkerbell put the finishing touches to the famous brand with her magic wand.
But in 2022, TikTok users began posting videos claiming that the intro, as people remember it, never actually existed.
A TikTokker announced on the platform: ‘Is Tinkerbell in the beginning of Disney movies?’
They continued, “Fake. Based on everything we know, this never actually happened. Disney did not release a video intro where Tinkerbell puts the I in the word Disney.

‘Instead, people probably combine multiple memories into one.’
Imogen shared the comment, which was first posted in September 2022, to her Instagram stories on Tuesday after several users claimed to have “proof” that Tinkerbell had indeed dotted the “i’s”.
“This isn’t fake, she’s just dotting the i’s,” one user posted, while another fan hit back: “I have a VHS that says otherwise.”

Imogen then added: ‘Gaslight’. The phrase is used to refer to an experience in which a victim is manipulated into believing in an event or experience that turns out to be fake.
Meanwhile, many users disagree with Imogen and are convinced that the critics are wrong.
“I remember this intro from about 25 years ago. It was on all Disney videos, not on CDs or Blu-ray…videos,” shared one Disney fan.
Another contemporary of Imogen’s wrote: ‘It really happened, I saw this as a child, I’m 35 and I saw this when I was 5… before Google was born.’
