‘Being new to the world of ostomies, I didn’t really know what to expect.I’ve come to the conclusion that Audrey – that’s what I call it – doesn’t like ice cream.’
‘She’s very quiet. Actually, she was a delight. I’ve noticed that because I have a hole on the right side of my torso, I no longer have a center where it used to be.”
Adele, who is linked to pro Mark Hanretty, admitted she had to relearn how to use her body and said rotating her diaphragm was still quite difficult.
“I really have to think about my movements on the ice, but it helped me connect with my body, so it was a blessing too.

Adele revealed in an October 2021 Instagram post that she was diagnosed with stage 2 cancer and underwent colostomy surgery later that year to remove an intestinal tumor.
After Kate changed her ostomy bag, Adele told her friend: “I can’t believe I went to the toilet in front of you,” after which Kate told her: “I don’t see it that way,” explaining that she sees it the stoma as ‘a separate entity… it’s as if we were changing our baby.’
