The children of some of the country’s biggest stars will take to the stage at Reading and Leeds Festival this weekend.
Cruz Beckham, 21, Violet Grohl, 20, Gene Gallagher, 25, and Moses Martin, 20, are the nepo babies performing with their bands at Britain’s biggest music festival.
Still, the move has sparked some controversy among fans who accuse the famous offspring of having an “edge” thanks to their name.
Charli XCX, Chase And Status, Dave, Florence And The Machine, Fontaines DC and RAYE will headline this August Bank Holiday (27 to 30).
In addition to the headline slots, the weekend promises a diverse mix of talent, including Skepta, Sombr, Role Model, Jade, Josh Baker, Kneecap, Kettama, Chris Stussy (read only), Geese, Skye Newman, Adéla and Keo.
So while critics accuse the nepobabies of having an advantage, Cruz, Gene, Moses and Violet do everything they can to prove their worth.

Fresh from the release of his debut EP Wear & Tear last week, David and Victoria’s youngest son Cruz will perform a show with his band The Breakers in Reading on Saturday and Leeds on Sunday.
Their appearance will follow one of six released to coincide with the release of the Wear & Tear EP.
The songs are called: Better Times, WANNABE, Seeing Red, Loneliest Boy and Wear & Tear.
Cruz, says the new EP, which he recorded with his band The Breakers, captures “a life lived”: the good, the bad and all the “learning curves” in between.
He added that he hopes the EP conveys the message that people, despite having different life experiences, can still share emotions.
The singer mused: “We’ve been high and low, in love and in pain, jealous, upset – we’ve lived and learned. We all have our wear and tear.”
Cruz and his band embarked on their debut headline trek titled The For Your Love Tour in early 2026, playing sold-out shows in the United Kingdom and Europe before embarking on a North American summer leg.
The tour was a big moment for Cruz, who has been building toward sold-out performances following the release of his first single, For Your Love.
Last year, Cruz performed for the first time in front of his family and friends, leaving his proud parents in tears of joy.
Proud mum Victoria sat in the front row to witness her youngest son’s performance and shared a clip of him singing while playing guitar.
Alongside the video she said: ‘Wow!!! You look so happy Cruz and we couldn’t be prouder, we love you @cruzbeckham xxxxxxxxxx.”
Sir David, 51, also shared a clip of Cruz’s performance and admitted he had ‘tears of joy and pride’ watching his son.
Moses Martijn

Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin’s son Moses are the frontman of his indie pop/rock band People I’ve Met.
The band will play Reading Festival’s The Canopy stage on Friday and Leeds on Saturday, following the spring release of their debut EP Bunny.
Like his famous father, Moses has built a career in music.
The nepo baby and his friends Andrew Suster and Orlando Wiltshire were picked up by Interscope Records earlier this year and quickly released their first single, Promise, through the label.
The song deviates far from the pop melodies that Coldplay is known for and has a more moody sound.
The band’s label is also home to Billie Eilish, Kendrick Lamar, Elton John and Lady Gaga, among others.
Moses’ band People I’ve Met launched in 2025 under the name Dancer, but the group soon changed names.
Moses’ vocals are strikingly similar to his father’s and he’s certainly used to the spotlight, having graced the Glastonbury stage alongside seven-time Grammy Award winner Coldplay in 2016.
The musician has also sung on a series of Coldplay songs and written for the songs All My Love, Orphans and The Astronaut.

Liam Gallagher’s youngest son Gene is the singer and guitarist for the grunge/indie rock band Villanelle.
Villanelle, a four-piece band consisting of Gallagher on vocals and guitar, Ben Taylor on guitar, Jack Schiavo on bass and Andrew Richmond on drums, released the debut single Hinge in September 2025.
‘Hinge is about paranoia that comes from sleepless nights. I was probably hungover when I wrote it,” Gallagher explains in an accompanying press release.
Discussing the band’s wide range of influences with NME, Schiavo added: ‘Where we meet is this mix of grunge, shoegaze, punk and alternative rock. That’s right in the center.
“Ben’s influences are more in the English alternative rock space, mine are more in the ’60s and ’70s rock space, and Gene’s are more like ’90s American rock bands. In the middle is where we all interact.
“I’ll bring Black Sabbath, Gene will bring Nirvana, Ben will bring Arctic Monkeys.”
Villanelle began performing live in 2024 and rose to fame supporting Gene’s father on his 30th anniversary tour.
Last year they joined a variety of supporting acts, including veteran indie acts Cast and Richard Ashcroft, as a newly reformed Oasis toured the world with their Live ’25 reunion tour.

Violet is the eldest daughter of Foo Fighters frontman and former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl.
When Violet was a teenager, she asked her parents if she could drop out of high school to become music stars, but they replied firmly, “F*** no.”
Meanwhile, David famously dropped out of high school with his late mother Virginia’s permission to tour with hardcore band Scream at the age of 17.
The ’90s-obsessed Gen-Zer released her 11-track debut studio album Be Sweet To Me in June.
The same month, she kicked off her 16-date tour with a sold-out show at the Moroccan Lounge in her native Los Angeles, California.
Dave has repeatedly insisted he had ‘absolutely nothing to do’ with Violet’s album or signing a record deal with Republic Records/Island EMI.
“Like I said to Violet, I want her to really appreciate these early experiences, you know, don’t wish this all away and don’t get too ahead of yourself,” the 19-time Grammy winner said on The Late Show on May 4.
