With their network of paths, junctions, and dead ends, mazes have fascinated people since the first mazes were invented thousands of years ago.
The most famous labyrinth is found in Greek legend; Theseus slew the man-eating Minotaur in the heart of the labyrinth and then found his way out using Ariadne’s ball of golden thread.
Unlike a maze, which requires you to choose which of many different paths you will take, a maze has only one path, yet it is winding and complex.
But will you give up when you fall further down the rabbit hole or figure out the best escape route?
Established during the 2015/2016 winter season with an area of 2,500 square meters, the size of the maze increased to 3,000 square meters this year with its reopening.

Snowlandia is located in the upper part of Zakopane, on the right hand side of the Wielka Krokiew ski jumping hill, on the very edge of the Tatra National Park in Poland.

You enter through the castle at the beginning of the maze and the goal is to complete the maze so that you can scale the castle at the end for beautiful views of Zakopane and the Tatra Mountains.
