Brooke Shields, 57, calls husband Chris Henchy, 59, ‘a keeper’ as she celebrates 22 years of marriage: ‘There’s no one else I’d rather drive crazy’

Brooke Shields celebrated her 22nd wedding anniversary with her husband, Chris Henchy, on Friday by sharing an Instagram post.

The 57-year-old actress posted several photos on her account, all of which showed her spending quality time with her 59-year-old husband.

The artist, who spoke about her childhood during a recent interview with Drew Barrymore, also wrote a short message to publicly express her affection for her longtime partner.

Shields wrote, ‘Married 22 years today…sometimes it feels like it’s been forever in the blink of an eye! There’s no one else I’d rather drive mad or go mad by… catch or get caught by… love or be loved.”

The Blue Lagoon star also wrote that she was “in for the long haul” with her husband.

Shields concluded her heartfelt message by affectionately calling Henchy “a keeper.”

The model and her husband first met in 1999 while they were both working on the Warner Bros. property. in Los Angeles.

The artist was previously married to former professional tennis player Andre Agassi, and their union lasted from 1997 to 1999.

The happy couple got engaged in 2000 and married in Mexico the following year.

Shields and Henchy started a family with the birth of their eldest daughter Rowan, 20, in 2003.

The couple brought another daughter named Grier, 17, into their lives in 2006.

The actress spoke about the early days of her relationship with her husband during an interview with Peoplewhere she remembered splitting up with her husband in the early days of their relationship.

She said that after her recent divorce from Agassi, she didn’t want to be seen as “rebounding, or whatever they call it, because I hadn’t spent time sowing my oats.”

Shields then said that while Henchy had initially accepted the split, she soon realized she wanted to pursue a relationship with the writer.

The actress recalled thinking at the time, “I don’t want to lose this person, so I better behave.”

The model went on to share how her husband had made it a habit over the years to “level out” her, for which she was extremely grateful.

She said, “Every time I’m done with my therapist, Chris says, ‘Are you fixated? You’re good? We’re good?'”
