Brazilian social media star Tatielle Ferreria has died at the age of 28 after a battle with pneumonia.

Ferreira fell ill on April 16 due to an attack of diarrhea, vomit and pain and visited the Emergency Room of Padre Roberto Cordeiro Martins in the center-western city of Divinópolis and was given medication.

Her husband, Jeremias de Jesus, told Brazilian news channel G1 that although she had not tested positive, doctors still diagnosed her with dengue and allowed her to go home.

The mother of three boys seemed in good spirits the next day, despite sharing a video with the caption: “So what’s life like as a mother?” on Instagram, saying, “That’s it, I have dengue!”

Ferreira returned to the medical facility at 8:50 a.m. on Saturday complaining of breathing problems and was diagnosed with pneumonia.

Ferreira was discharged with a prescription for antibiotics. Her symptoms worsened later in the day and she was taken by ambulance to São João de Deus Hospital shortly after 6 p.m.

Ferreira was intubated and died in the early hours of Sunday.

“Everything could have been different on the 16th, when she was sent home without testing,” said her husband Jeremias de Jesus. “Nothing can bring my wife back, but I want her departure to be investigated so that what happens to me doesn’t happen to others.”

Her family released a statement blaming the Divinópolis health system for her death.

“Unfortunately, she died prematurely due to the neglect of public health in Divinópolis and the lack of preparation of some professionals!!!” the statement claimed.

“She leaves behind a husband, three young children and a completely devastated, outraged and devastated family. The followers who loved Taty so much, friends, partners, we are deeply saddened. I just ask that you pray for us….”

The Divinópolis government indicated it was investigating the Padre Roberto Cordeiro Martin emergency care unit, which is managed by Brazil’s Institute of Public Policy.

Ferreira was known for sharing her weight loss journey and life as a mother on Instagram.

Her sudden death shocked her 74,000 followers on the social media network.

“She said she couldn’t stay in the hospital because of who else [would] take care of the kids,” one of her followers commented.

“I can’t help but think about you, Tati,” another follower wrote. ‘And especially about the boys. I am very sad about your departure.’

A mother who recovered from dengue criticized the country’s healthcare system for failing to prevent Ferreira’s death.

“How long will healthcare in Brazil continue to be treated this way,” they wrote. “I had dengue (and) I really thought I wouldn’t get back to my child. I went to a private network and honestly I have never seen so much disrespect for people from healthcare professionals… My sincere condolences to the entire family.”
