Revelers were shocked when the speakers abruptly died at 10 p.m. at a music festival, but the performers carried on without realizing it.
Ministry of Sound were performing their classic tour at The Entertainment Quarter in Sydney at 8-10pm on Saturday, with other acts starting at 2:30pm.
However, at the moment the clock struck 10, the speakers suddenly turned off even though the singers and an orchestra of dozens of people were still playing the latest song.
Footage obtained by Daily Mail Australia shows the band belting out a danceable, orchestral version of Gimme! Give to me! Give to me! by ABBA.
The acclaimed artists performed to a sold-out crowd at The Entertainment Quarter in Sydney for a full day of music that spanned from 2:30pm to 10:00pm.
The roaring audience is heard cheering the band on as the performers dance silently through a storm, hoping the music will return.
However, the performers, due to earplugs, failed to realize that the packed crowd was unable to hear a word, and spent the next three minutes finishing the song.
The singers in particular were so oblivious that their exuberance didn’t miss a beat even though only the front rows of the audience were able to hear them.
It is unclear if the sound was automatically turned off at 10:00 p.m. to comply with the event’s license, or simply due to a technical glitch.
Daily Mail Australia contacted the venue and event planners for clarification.

However, the moment the clock struck 10:00, the venue turned off the speakers and the esteemed group continued to perform on stage, even though the audience was unable to hear them.
The energetic concert featured director Vanessa Perica leading the Ministry of Sound orchestra in renditions of popular dance and club hits.
The celebrated group played club favorites from Moby, Underworld, Robert Miles and many other house music groups.
Despite the abrupt end to the concert, fans were screaming for more and took to Facebook to thank the group for an incredible performance.
‘Ministerio de Sonido Clásico, you were fabulous. Orchestra with electronic music is the best thing since sliced bread,’ gushed one fan.
“Had a wicked night,” another user wrote.
The band will perform on the Gold Coast on May 6 and in Melbourne and Adelaide later this year.
