Ben Platt showed off the engagement ring he received from his fiancé, Noah Galvin, on his Instagram account on Monday.

The 29-year-old performer revealed that his partner recently popped the big question, showing off his sapphire ring in his snap.

The actor, who became engaged to Galvin last November, added a short graphic to his post that read, “He asked back.”

Platt then shared an image of his labradoodle, George, holding a rose in his mouth while surrounded by blue rose petals.

He also added another graphic text to his post to let his followers know that “I said yes.”

The Dear Evan Hansen star went on to share an image of him kissing his partner as they watched a sunset.

The artist wore a sash with the word “groom” as he showed his affection for his fiancee.

Galvin, 29, then reposted two of his fiancé’s photos in his own story, adding a text image to the photo with his dog that read, “George made it ask.”

The actor and his partner first met in 2017, when the latter took on the title role in the Broadway production of Dear Evan Hansen.

The pair subsequently developed a close friendship and were seen in each other’s company several times over the next few years.

The Pitch Perfect actor further confirmed that he was dating Galvin in May 2020, and they went Instagram official in December.

The two dated for nearly two more years before Platt revealed they got engaged last November.

The Tony Award-winning artist popped the big question at a party that took place in Brooklyn.

Platt talked about his engagement to Galvin on an episode of The View that aired last month, expressing via People that they were in no hurry to get married.

“We just got engaged a few months ago, so we’re taking it easy and enjoying the engaged stage. You only get that podium once,” he said.

The artist went on to say that he had grown very close to his fiancee over the years.

‘I’ve known him for a long time. We were friends for years and then half way through I came to my senses,” he said.
