An Australian father of nine who claims to be the secret son of King Charles III and Camilla Parker Bowles says he plans to approach Netflix to make a documentary about his life.

Simon Charles Dorante-Day says he has been inundated with offers from US and UK documentary makers to tell his story following Queen Elizabeth II’s death last month.

The 56-year-old Queensland engineer was adopted when he was eight months old and says his adoptive grandmother told him on her deathbed that he was Charles and Camilla’s “secret” son.

Recent interest in Mr Dorante-Day’s story has inspired him to approach streaming giant Netflix while considering other offers.

He hopes to have the chance to tell his story and force Buckingham Palace to finally consider his claims.

“I didn’t expect this to happen, but I’m glad it did,” he said 7news.com.

β€œI am handling my case through the appropriate legal channels, but I know that sharing my story and making as many people aware of my claims as possible will be essential to getting Charles and Camilla to deal with my claims.

“If sharing my story on Netflix or a larger TV audience helps, then I say let’s do it.”

He also reaffirmed his commitment to take legal action in an effort to force the King and Camilla to take DNA tests.

Mr Dorante-Day is looking forward to returning to the UK to step up his quest for answers from the royal family and has already lined up several radio interviews.

Mr. Dorante-Day revealed his documentary plans to Facebook followers while sending a heartfelt message to fellow adoptees.

“For the adopted folks out there, no, mine isn’t the craziest adoption story out there β€” there are a million of them!” he posted on Thursday.

β€œThe things I hear from every country, the trauma that people experience, it’s both heartbreaking and amazing. We need a vote.

β€œI always knew that when all this became public that adoption would be an important topic, BUT the magnitude of this is unreal, I didn’t have the whole picture in mind.

‘I hear your stories, I share your pain and fear, hopefully this all sheds some light at the end of a very dark tunnel!!’

Mr Dorante-Day was born in Portsmouth, UK, on 5 April 1966 and was adopted when he was eight months old before his family later settled in Australia.

Both adoptive grandparents had worked for the late Queen and Prince Philip in one of their royal households and he claims his adoptive grandmother told him he was Charles and Camilla’s son.

Mr Dorante-Day’s case alleges that King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla began their close relationship in 1965, a year before his birth certificate says he was born.

He claims that Queen Consort Camilla was absent from the British social scene and that King Charles was sent on a journey to Australia nine months before his birth.

Mr Dorante-Day insists Camilla kept him until he was eight months old, hid him from the world with the help of the royal family and security officials, and claims to have been told it was a condition of the adoption that his Simon and Charles’ names were not changed.
