Princess Anne was all smiles today as she attended the Burghley Horse Trials.
The Princess Royal76, attended the annual event in Stamford, Lincolnshire, on Sunday in her role as president of World Horse Welfare.
Anne, an experienced rider herself, won the individual championship at Burghley in 1971 and was elected BBC Sports Personality of the Year.
The royal family attended the event two days after her daughter Zara Tindal and son Peter Phillips attended.
Peter, 48, was there with his wife Harriet Sperling45, and they were the picture of marital bliss as they smiled and held hands yesterday.
He was accompanied by Zara, an experienced rider who takes part in the trials every year, their father, captain Mark Phillips, 77, and his girlfriend Florence Standaert, 44.
Princess Royal’s ex-husband is rumored to be in a relationship with the Belgian equestrian since 2022, with Florence also accompanying Captain Mark to Peter and Harriet’s Cotswolds ‘intimate’ wedding in June.
Yesterday it was announced that Anne will attend the funeral of the late Norwegian King Harald V together with her cousin Prince William.

She will appear in a personal capacity as the godmother of Norway’s new king, Haakon VIII, 53.
Harald – a cousin of King Charles III – died on August 28 at the age of 89 after a hospital stay in Oslo, where he was treated for hemolytic anemia, a condition that causes red blood cells to be destroyed at an abnormally rapid rate.
On Saturday, Buckingham Palace confirmed that Prince William, 44, will attend the funeral in place of his father, King Charles.
By state protocol, British monarchs do not attend the funerals of other heads of state – usually sending another member of the royal family to represent them.
Elsewhere, King Charles and Queen Camilla were joined by Andy Burnham at a church service near Balmoral earlier today.
The royal couple were spotted in the back of a black Rolls-Royce, with the Prime Minister’s Range Rover following close behind.
It is traditional for the Prime Minister to spend a few days at Balmoral each year at the end of summer, where King Charles spends his summer holidays.
The Sunday service took place in Crathie Kirk – a small, granite church on Royal Deeside.

It comes just days after the king spent a day out with the prime minister on Wednesday to admire the Bayeux Tapestry.
Charles praised the Tapestry as a “precious symbol of trust” between nations as he welcomed Emmanuel Macron to Britain for the historic unveiling of the medieval masterpiece.
The king and the French president gathered at the British Museum and were accompanied by Mr Burnham to view the 70-metre-long embroidery, which is being loaned by France to Britain for the first time in its almost thousand-year history.
The historic exhibition, which opens to the public next week, marks an important moment in Anglo-French relations and follows years of negotiations over the transfer of the extremely fragile artwork across the Channel.
