She had been away from her family in London for three months earlier this year before returning to the panel in July, but quit in October.
Three months after leaving the show, Carrie announced she had split from her partner of 11 years Chris Walker.
“It is with immense sadness that Chris and I have decided to part ways,” she wrote in a statement on Instagram.
“While this is a difficult time, our focus is on parenting, loving and supporting our three children Ollie, Evie and Addie with everything we have.
‘They’re doing great. We will not comment further.’
The pair are thought to be on good terms with Chris, even spotted with Carrie’s old colleague, Waleed Aly.
It comes amid reports that Carrie has grown close to her radio co-host Tommy Little, who is also single following his split from girlfriend Natalie Kyriacou in 2021.
Carrie announced her split from Chris in January this year via Instagram, saying the couple is focusing on co-parenting their three children, Ollie, 15, Evie, seven, and Adelaide, four
Tommy rushed to the mother-of-three’s side in January when she confirmed her breakup, leading insiders to speculate their friendship could evolve into something more.
In recent months, Tommy has shared several enthusiastic tributes to Carrie on Instagram, and in one post called her the “best in the business” who “lifts everyone around her up and looks good.”
Ahead of her last day on The Project last November, Tommy also treated the blonde bombshell to a private helicopter tour of Melbourne.
He is often seen close to her at glitzy events, including the 2022 Australian Commercial Radio Awards (ACRAs) last October, where he didn’t leave her side even as guests rose from their tables and mingled with others.
The duo regularly pose for cozy selfies on social media, which has prompted curious fans to wonder if romance is at stake.
“You two are a beautiful couple,” one of them recently captioned a photo of the couple.

“Get a room now, you two,” said another.
It’s not hard to see why fans are hoping for love to blossom, as Tommy and Carrie are already known for their electric chemistry.
Their professional relationship began in 2016 when Tommy joined Carrie on The Project’s panel.
A year later, the pair embarked on Hit Network’s Melbourne drive show together in 2017, gaining instant cult status thanks to their entertaining and organic banter.
