The former Tesco worker, now 63, has long since ditched her dark brown locks and bangs and is rocking a blonde cropped haircut these days.

Her social media photos feature Mary, who has shed an incredible six stones in recent years, sporting a sparkling tiara and matching elaborate necklace.

The singer also slipped into a blue sequined dress with spaghetti straps and a white fur coat, while opting for a sleek makeup palette.

Still performing and entertaining fans these days, Mary appeared to be preparing to take the stage as she was also wearing a discreet microphone.

She first found recognition in 2010 when she impressed then X Factor judges Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh, Cheryl and Katy Perry with an incredible rendition of I Who Have Nothing by Tom Jones at her audition.

Despite wowing the crowd week after week, she failed to win and finished in fifth place.

Her series was famous the year One Direction was founded, with Matt Cardle going on to take the title.

She has since built an impressive career, performing on Mediterranean cruises with Cliff Richard.

She also starred in Menopause: The Musical alongside Linda Nolan.

It comes after Mary was rushed to hospital earlier this year after her tour bus crashed into a lorry in an ‘explosive’ crash.

The X Factor star was touring the UK with the cast of Menopause the Musical 2 when their minibus collided with a lorry that braked to avoid hitting a deer.

Talking to the The Irish sun, Mary said, ‘The whole front of our bus was destroyed, the engine was destroyed. It was like an explosion. That’s how it sounded. All I could see was people being thrown from one end of the bus to the other. This is the most frightening thing that has ever happened to me.

She added, “You know how you say your life flashes before you? I didn’t see a flash, but I saw my mother and father, and my daughter, all the people I loved came into my head.”

Mary was rushed to hospital along with her fellow cast members Jessica Martin, Rebecca Wheatley, Susie Fenwick, director Kelly Sims and driver Jim Perrie.

Mary explained, “It wasn’t until I got to the hospital that I started having pain in my arm, then I was taken to the x-ray. My arm is very bad. I have tissue damage to my back and neck. I’m still very emotional now, I keep bursting into tears. I do not know why. I’m so, so grateful to be alive.”
