WWE released a number of wrestlers as the company’s latest round of cuts took place Thursday.
Former world heavyweight champion Dolph Ziggler was the main name let go, while Shelton Benjamin and Mustafa Ali were the other biggest names to leave the company.
Ali was fired just days before his North American title match against Dominik Mysterio at ‘No Mercy’ on September 30.
Also let go were Australian star Emma, fired on the same day WWE announced their return to her home country of Australia after five years and who only returned 11 months ago, and real-life fiancée Riddick Moss.
Aliyah, Top Dolla and Elias were also released by the company on Thursday.

While some of the talent have been off TV for several weeks, Ali has been enjoying the screen time, appearing on the developmental brand NXT after quitting this year, embroiled in a long-running feud for the North American title. including Wes Lee, Tyler Bate and Mysterio.
“I’m working with WWE longer,” he originally posted on X. “I’m looking forward to the future. Thank you.’
He corrected the wording in a second message, writing: ‘No longer*. Sorry for the confusion.’
Alam had asked for his release from the company in 2022 and publicly shared his request on social media in January, but the request was rejected and he continued to work.

Emma, meanwhile, had responded to the announcement that WWE was holding an event in Australia earlier today, writing: “A dream.” However, a few minutes later she followed it up with, “Oops, nevermind, I just got released.” …I’m no longer with WWE.”
Moss, meanwhile, posted: “Well I did it – I graduated from WWE. I know a lot of people think my career really went into a tailspin when Mr. Levesque took over, but in reality my per-match compensation skyrocketed.
“Other promoters, get ready to support the brinks truck.”
He had previously responded to a post about his release with, “Wait, really? But I didn’t answer the phone!’
Top Dolla, who also recently returned as part of the Hit Row stable, shared a photo of himself as he re-enters free agency.
Reports indicate that NXT cuts are also expected today.
