Authorities have arrested the woman who allegedly opened fire and fatally shot two NYU students outside a club in Puerto Rico.

The 31-year-old was seen on video surrounded by two men trying to calm her down after she was kicked out of the same club before raising her gun in the air before firing it.

The MBA students had originally planned to travel to Orlando with other classmates to celebrate a birthday, but flew to the Caribbean island on Friday because it was more economical, outlets across the U.S. Commonwealth reported.
The group was waiting outside the Emo-Y Bar and Lounge in San Juan for their Uber ride when they were shot.
Claudio hired a lawyer who contacted authorities in San Juan to arrange for her to turn herself in in Caguas.
Police said she was kicked out of the Emo-Y Bar and Lounge before retaliating by firing her weapon.
She faces multiple charges, including illegal possession of a firearm and opening fire in a public place.

The Puerto Rican newspaper El Nuevo Día reported that San Juan police slapped Emo-Y Bar and Lounge with a $2,000 fine for operating a bar without a license.
The company was fined three times for the same violation. The previous fines have not yet been paid.
San Juan city council spokeswoman Michelle Cob told the outlet that Emo-Y Bar and Lounge has had a liquor license since 2018 and is licensed to hold live music events. However, it was not allowed to run the place as a bar.
“The City of San Juan is taking legal action against the company and legal action will be taken,” Cob said.
