A woman has been criticised after sharing a clip from her brother’s wedding in which she was seen breaking down in tears during his vows.
A clip shared on TikTok by the content creator Mariafrom the US, which has been viewed millions of times, shows a bride and groom standing at the altar as the groom says his vows.
In the clip, the groom says, “When I look at you, I see a beautiful future. These are my vows, I promise…,” before the camera pans to the bridesmaids.
One of the bridesmaids, the groom’s sister, clutches her chest and covers her face with her hands as she bursts into tears, but appears to be laughing at the same time.
The screen reads: ‘POV You couldn’t control yourself when your brother, who made you his sister, started reading his vows to his wife.’

The caption for the clip reads: ‘There’s something about a wedding that gets to me, but it gets to me differently when it’s your first brother.
“So incredibly happy for my brother and sister-in-law! I love you both so much.”
Still, not everyone was impressed by the sister’s public display of emotions.
The top comment reads, “Look at me,” while another viewer adds, “This is how you make the wedding all about you.”
Others accuse the sister of ‘distracting’ the bridal party and guests with her behavior.
And someone commented: ‘D“It’s absolutely the reason the bride has hers so far in the future.”
Although some sisters agreed with the bridesmaid and said they would react the same way.

One viewer said: ‘As a big sister I totally get it. There’s just something funny about literally everything a little brother does, but it’s all out of love.’

Someone else stood up for the sister, writing, “I cried like a baby at my brother’s wedding.”

Maria, who originally posted the video, later left her own comment: “The reactions are so animalistic, it’s bizarre.”
Some viewers even praised her for her reaction, adding: ‘This is so pure and real, I love this.’
Another wrote: ‘Let it out; I literally spent my brother’s ceremony in sunglasses so no one would see me cry like a baby.’
The big sister finally responded: ‘It was a really uncontrollable reaction. I tried so hard to hold it in and then I literally just exploded.’
