Woman accused of forcing army veteran boyfriend to suicide mourned him as a ‘great dad’

The new lover of the mother accused of driving her estranged army veteran boyfriend to suicide has revealed on Facebook how she became a “martyr” after his death, mourning him as a “great guy” and “great father.”

Mandie Reusch, 35, of Greensburg, Pennsylvania, is accused of inducing Kevin Metzger, 37, to commit suicide in June 2021 after berating him for at least a year with “heinous” text messages about their daughter, his finances and his physical condition. performances. In some messages she accuses Metzger of physical violence.

In other exchanges, as of May 2021, Reusch told Metzger that she has a new partner who will become their daughter’s new father, as she bragged about his sexual prowess and even shared a video of her performing oral sex on him.

The new partner, who declined to be named, told DailyMail.com exclusively that his relationship with Reusch was “informal” and never formalized. He said he had not even met the suspect’s daughter.

The partner also revealed how Reusch posted about Metzger on Facebook after his death. “After he died she turned into a martyr and posted all these memorial pictures of him and said how much she misses him and how good a father he was. I just think to cover her tracks.’

Mandie Reusch sent Metzger a photo of a man she said she was dating, that man told DailyMail.com that their relationship was casual and ended after a few months

Reusch’s former lover said she never mentioned Metzger during their first time together. The man said he first learned of Metzger’s existence when the army veteran threatened him via text message about the sex clip Reusch sent him.

“She took full advantage of me to make him jealous. I didn’t know they had anything. She was single as far as I know, for the first two months I think, then he messaged me saying he wanted to fight.’

He then went on to describe his relationship with Reusch as “really strange” and said it was “never official.” The man said he met her through mutual friends on Facebook when he was under the impression that they were both single.

He also revealed that Reusch considers himself a practitioner of wicca, a form of witchcraft. The man described that the suspect ‘liked all those weird things’.

In messages Reusch sent to Metzger in May 2021, she tells him that their daughter will call her new boyfriend “daddy” from now on.

“You won’t see her on Father’s Day or any holiday for that matter,” Reusch writes while also complaining that Metzger owes her money.

“My kids will literally be better off with any other role model than you… if you show up here again, we’ll have a gun and I’ll call the cops.”

In several of the abusive messages Reusch sent to Metzger, she referred to her new lover as their daughter’s new father.

Metzger was the victim of seemingly never-ending abusive text messages that only ended when he committed suicide in June 2021

“From now on we are [her new boyfriend’s surname] and you don’t exist. [He] is now her father. Not you. Never ask for her again. She’s not your daughter. You never hear anything about her again.’

‘She’s going to call [him] “daddy” because he’s a much better dad than you. Kill yourself. I’m serious… I actually want you to kill yourself because I think you’re the worst person on the planet,” she wrote in another post.

Reusch sent Metzger a photo of her new boyfriend and said he ruined every vacation ‘by making something out of it’ [Metzger’s] bald head and beer belly and rotting teeth.’

A friend of Metzger’s shared with DailyMail.com a Facebook post saying Reusch was trying to “get me to commit suicide for the money.” I’ve got the texts.’

The friend said Reusch told him that Metzger saw the pair’s sex clip because he looked through her phone, not because she sent it to him.

In the message for sending the clip, Reusch wrote, “I wanted you to act normal and romantic for once. I wanted you to come to an agreement and stick to it. It wasn’t my fault we weren’t working. But damn, if you turn out to be the abusive son of a bitch you are, I’m going to get shut down.”

Reusch followed that post with a 49-second clip of a woman performing oral sex with her new partner. She does not mention the clip in the text messages.

In a conversation, Reusch says that Metzger killed their dog Zoe. She says she is shredding a book of photos of the pet, that the dog really hated him, and that she and her new boyfriend would have sex on top of the book.

“That dog hated you and ran away every chance she could. Just like I ran off to suck anyone’s dick except yours because you are literally the worst person I’ve ever met in my life,” she wrote.

After saying he killed their dog, Reusch says again that he will be shot if he tries to go near her.

Resuch’s attorney rejected comparisons between this case and Michelle Carter’s 2014 case, shown here. Carter was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter after encouraging her boyfriend, Conrad Roy, to commit suicide

Earlier this week, Reusch’s attorney rejected comparisons between his client’s allegations and the 2014 case of Conrad Roy, then 18, and Michelle Carter, then 17.

In 2017, Carter was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter after she was found to have sent Roy text messages encouraging him to commit suicide. He took his own life from carbon monoxide poisoning. Carter was released from prison in 2020.

DiLucente said prosecutors are comparing the two cases. ‘[Carter] basically told him to strengthen him to do it, plan it, the methods and the means, you don’t have that here, what you have is an emotional relationship between two people involving their child,” the lawyer said.

The lawyer said the messages Reusch sent to Metzger could be considered “immoral.”

“I don’t see it fitting with a criminal charge, such as assisted suicide. There was no coercion, coercion, there were no methods and means,” he said.

“There are always two sides to a story and our side of the story will be told over the course of this case,” DiLucente added.

“The preliminary hearings are going to take a long time. And I think a wealth of information will be discovered,” the lawyer concluded.

Mandie Reusch, 35, is charged with assisted suicide, a misdemeanor and harassment, a misdemeanor. She will appear in court for the first time on June 27

Reusch, of Greensburg, is due back in court on June 27 for another pre-trial hearing.

Prosecutors have been investigating Metzger’s death for two years.

Officials said his suicide note, which began with the words “maybe she was right,” as well as posts on his Facebook page, described the “trail of torment and temptation” he allegedly traveled through Reusch. In a press release, prosecutors also called the messages she sent Metzger “horrific and graphic.”

Court documents refer to Reusch as Metzger’s on-again/off-again girlfriend. The couple previously lived together in Irwin, Pennsylvania.

At a press conference, trooper Steve Limani called the “bullying” Metzger endured as some of the worst he’s ever seen.

“This is the next level or the most extreme form of bullying that I’ve seen, read about, heard about, where someone is constantly telling someone to end their life,” Limani said.

“You’re talking about the three biggest triggers you can have when you make someone feel horrible,” he added.

In a separate interview with CBS Pittsburgh, DiLucente said, “My God, if we’re going to prosecute people for sending harsh texts to each other instead of communicating it verbally, we’re on a different path in our justice system.”
