Wife of radio presenter Michael ‘Wippa’ Wipfli reveals why they no longer sleep in the same bed: ‘I like it so much that I can’t go back’
Lisa Wipfli, the wife of Nova 96.9 breakfast host Michael “Wippa” Wipfli, has spoken out publicly about the couple’s decision to sleep in separate beds.

Speak with The Daily Telegraph on Thursday, Lisa, 40, further explained that the practice started when their children were younger.
“Now I love it so much I can’t go back,” she told the publication.

“I’d much rather have him be a healthy version of himself than have him develop some kind of brain aneurysm from lack of oxygen,” she said.
Sleep apnea occurs when a person’s throat becomes partially or completely blocked while they sleep.
It is treated using a continuous positive airway pressure pump (CPAP), which feeds pressurized air into a face mask to keep the person’s throat open while they sleep.

Lisa went on to say that she is a light sleeper and wakes up at the slightest noise, which is why she prefers to sleep in silence for an entire night.
“Essentially we are in separate beds and all I can say is that you are a much happier person when you sleep well,” she revealed.
“While some people think this is the end of your marriage, it isn’t. I’m a much happier wife if I don’t nudge my husband all night and tell him to turn around because he snores.’

In November, Lisa and Wippa talked about their sleeping problems.
The mother-of-three revealed that she was left exhausted when their daughter Francesca had trouble sleeping.
“She didn’t know how to settle down. We should lie down on the floor and hold her hand until she fell asleep,’ Lisa said.
“I did that four or five times a night. It’s constant living as half a version of yourself. I would look in the mirror and think: I am a shell of myself.’
Wippa has been married to Lisa for nine years. Together they share three children, sons Theodore, eight, and Jack, six, and daughter Francesca, three.
