A suspicious fire has swept through the bush and threatens to burn down the house of the Good Samaritan neighbor shot to death by the Train family’s doomsday assassins.
Alan Dare, 58, was shot dead last week when he went to try to help after spotting an unrelated fire on train property during his shootout with police.
Officers Rachel McCrow, 29, and Matthew Arnold, 26, were shot and killed by Gareth Train, 47, his wife Stacey, 45, and their brother Nathaniel, 46 on December 12.

The three extreme conspiracy theorists opened fire as officers approached their rural home in Wieambilla, three hours west of Brisbane.
Mr. Dare was shot dead by trains after rushing to help when he saw smoke and flames on the property.
On Wednesday, a large new bushfire broke out on Mr. Dare’s property, with a 10m high wall of flame advancing towards his house, which is next door to the Trains house.
Now, fire specialists have launched an investigation into the mysterious fire after discovering suspicious leads in the area where they believe it started.
The fire was fanned by strong gusts of wind which quickly blew it out of control and ran onto properties on Wains Road where Mr Dare and the Trains lived.

Nathaniel Train was a respected former school principal before his deadly attack.
Fire chiefs ordered an evacuation of the area as they desperately tried to restrict the rapid spread of the fire by constructing firebreaks.
Now fire investigators are working with police to determine the cause and who may have been responsible.
“There are a few things at the point of origin that we have identified and we have two experienced fire investigators arriving early next week,” Queensland Rural Fire Service Superintendent Wayne Waltisbuhl said.
“They will replace our local people who have discovered some things that we need to investigate much more closely.”
Local fire crews worked tirelessly to try to protect Mr. Dare’s home for the sake of his family after last week’s tragedy, the fire chief said.

“Some machinery was able to move and put some breakwaters around the immediate vicinity of the buildings,” he said.
The fire reached right into those cracks.
Superintendent Waltisbuhl added: ‘The crews were really engaged, but it certainly has been a roller coaster of emotions for the local crews over the last week.
“Understanding what Alan had done, a lot of effort was made to protect his property, but not much more than to protect other property along the way.
Dare will be laid to rest on Friday afternoon in a private family ceremony on the grounds of the chapel in Sumner, in south-west Brisbane.
