Whitney Port and Tim Rosenman are seen for the first time since revealing their surrogate suffered two miscarriages – as they step out in LA

Whitney Port and her husband Tim Rosenman stayed cozy as they stepped out in Los Angeles on Wednesday after revealing that their surrogate had suffered two miscarriages.

The Hills star, 38, braved the chilly fall weather as she dressed up in a chic mint green coat with a cozy collar during a visit to the Pacific Design Center.

She paired the outfit with black leggings, long white socks and silver and green sneakers.

Whitney carried a stylish black Chanel bag on her arm and wore her brunette locks in a ponytail for the outing.

She wore small gold hoop earrings and was pictured sipping a green smoothie.

Meanwhile, Tim wore a white sweater over a gray T-shirt and light blue jeans.

He paired the outfit with white sneakers and was seen carrying a white paper bag.

The outing comes after Whitney candidly revealed that her surrogate mother suffered two miscarriages while discussing the struggle for the second child.

The couple have a son named Sonny, six, but have come a long way in their bid to add another child to the flock.

They announced in June that they were considering the option of surrogacy after Whitney herself suffered multiple miscarriages.

Now on a recent episode of her podcast With Wittthe couple shared that they had indeed hired a surrogate mother – who has now suffered the loss of two pregnancies.

“At the end of last year we decided to go down the route of surrogacy,” Whitney revealed. “After a very long journey where we couldn’t get pregnant on our own and, yes, so many things happened.”

Whitney – who previously said comments about her weight loss made her “blood boil” – explained: “And we ended up doing two transfers with the surrogate. Both transfers ultimately ended in failure. The last miscarriage was only a month ago.’

“And it’s worth saying,” Tim said, “that after seven and a half weeks we were both told we had a 97 percent chance of having a successful baby.”

He added that “the odds are really ridiculous” for two “consecutive” miscarriages given the circumstances, “so now we think there might be something going on, either with the surrogate mother or with our embryos.”

Whitney outlined the current situation, which is that “we have three embryos left, two that have been tested, one that has not been tested yet, and we decide, are we going to try a new lab?” Do we do another round of egg harvesting to get new embryos? Maybe all these embryos from the last batch are bad?’

Another option is to “place one of the embryos that have already been created into the surrogacy and just get that going while we make a plan to do another egg retrieval,” but no action plan has been set yet.

Whitney mused that while she Tim is “not back to square one yet,” as they still have three embryos, each miscarriage “feels” like starting over.

Tim lamented that “all the emailing and planning” that comes with it makes their whole ordeal seem “like another job.”

“It’s so much,” Whitney said. “And I will say, I’m so grateful that you’re such a great partner for me in this, but it makes me so sad for people who don’t need — maybe don’t have someone like you to hold their hand through it.”

In June, they said they were “seriously” considering hiring a surrogate to carry one of their frozen embryos after suffering a chemical pregnancy and three miscarriages. 2019, 2020And 2021.

“We are now going through the motions of surrogacy, we are really thinking about that seriously and we have embryos (stored),” the content creator shared We weekly at the time.

“I’m still figuring things out and nothing is 100 percent yet and so it’s one of those things where you’re afraid to put it out into the universe until you know what’s happening. But for me, I was dealing with secondary infertility, and having that second baby was such a process both physically and mentally.”

Whitney emphasized that she and her husband are “not traveling yet” but hopes that happens “soon” because she couldn’t be a “present, happy, decent version” of herself when she was physically pregnant: “We’ll to see!’

Last year, Stephanie Levich, founder of Family Match Consulting, said TODAY that the total cost – including surrogate compensation, broker fees, legal fees, insurance, etc. – of the process is approximately “$125,000 to $175,000.”

Whitney and Tim are already proud parents of son Sonny Sanford, who celebrated his sixth birthday on July 27 with a Star Wars-themed party in the backyard.

The LA-born socialite told the outlet, “I would get him (a) LEGO Star Wars The Razor Crest situation to keep him busy this summer!”

Port and Rosenman’s only child graduated from Exploring Minds Montessori preschool on June 16, and they plan to spend the summer visiting family in Vermont and New York.
