Draymond Green faces a five-game suspension after the Golden State Warriors power forward deadlocked Minnesota Timberwolves rival Rudy Gobert on Tuesday night.
As tempers flared between Klay Thompson and Green’s Warriors teammate Jaden McDaniels, the Golden State star could be seen grabbing the 7-foot-2 Gobert around the head and dragging him away.
Less than two minutes into Tuesday night’s game, Thompson and McDaniels tangled in the half court before shaking hands to begin the altercation.
Green then flew in from a few yards away and immediately put Gobert in a headlock before teammates intervened. All four players at the center of the fight were ejected from the San Francisco game.
But according to ESPNby Adrian Wojnarowskithe NBA gives Green a five-game suspension for his role in it.

Tuesday’s brawl marked the first time in the past 25 seasons that multiple players were ejected from the game before either team scored a basket.
It also marks the second time in the last three games that Green has been ejected, after also being thrown from Saturday’s game against the Cleveland Cavaliers with two technical fouls.
After being pinned by Green, Gobert said his rival’s antics that night were “just clown behavior.”
“It’s kind of funny because before the game I said to myself that Steph (Curry) isn’t playing, so I know Draymond will try to get sent off,” he said.
“Because every time Steph doesn’t play, he doesn’t want to play, it’s his man Steph. He will do anything to get out of prison.
‘I’m proud of myself for being the bigger man every time. And yes, he doesn’t even deserve me to lay my hands on him. My team needed me tonight,” Gobert added.
“I did everything I could to keep my cool and then show that I wasn’t making the situation worse, and I really hope the league will do what needs to be done because that’s just clown behavior.” Not much to say. It’s clown behavior.’
